Exactly one year after his 2020 release entitled Dunklewissenschaft, DVS NME returns with a collection of new tracks that were produced between late 2020 and early 2021. This 25-track album is another obvious thematic tribute, only this time he chose to pay homage to the writing of the socialist revolutionary Karl Marx. Every song title is a nod to the German philosopher's economic and political theory. Even the album cover borrows directly from Marx, re-adapting the original cover of the 1848 pamphlet entitled 'The Communist Manifesto'.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to his studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' and has been a dedicated contributor to the Electro community for the last 11 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear, and more. This album is available for $15 USD.

DVS NME - Speed-ups

DVS NME is a Colorado-based Electro producer and DJ originally from Southern California. Active since 1999, he crafts stark, machine-driven music rooted in analog hardware and recorded live in single takes. Influenced by Drexciya, AUX88, and Anthony Rother, his sound blends dystopian textures with precise rhythm programming. He’s released music on respected underground labels like Solar One Music, Transient Force, and Ukonx Recordings, and now Future Tones Rcoeds. A key advocate for the genre, he also curates the long-running Dark Science Electro podcast, supporting global Electro since 2010.

1. Beam
A slow-burning opener built around a TR-606 groove, chopped vocal fragments, and delicate string flourishes. At 116 BPM, it's the most restrained cut on the EP—staccato and skeletal, but quietly emotional.

2. Carveout
Driven by a classic four-on-the-floor pulse, "Carveout" rides a surging bassline and tightly layered synths. Functional on the surface, but subtle shifts in tone give it depth beneath the structure.

3. Debt Trap
The most club-oriented track on the record. With a jerky low-end and nimble 606 programming, "Debt Trap" combines dancefloor impact with off-kilter synth work that refuses to settle.

4. Ratchet Effect
A standout cut that channels DVS NME's signature sound—sharp, modular arpeggios, machine-funk rhythms, and intricate modulation. At once clinical and soulful, it’s the EP’s most complex and defining moment.

5. Land Reform
TB-303 acid lines coil around melodic string pads and skittering hi-hats in this mid-tempo closer. "Land Reform" balances raw rhythmic motion with introspective synth textures, ending the record on a reflective note.

"Elektro Tonight 50" Basement Issue (October 2025)

Anna Karina is a Ukrainian artist, based in Berlin - an artist who breathes new energy into experimental music, blending Breakbeat with Detroit Electro motifs. In her show, she performs using Elektron Digitakt, Vector, Korg Volca, VCV Rack and her warm, captivating vocals. 

In her most recent release „METAPHORISCH EP“ on the Ukrainian Connectome imprint, she explores the sensations of wind and the vast, heavy landscape of the mind. 
Rather than imitating the physical world, it channels perception - translating emotional states into abstract sonic forms. Noise and glitch elements represent the raw, untamed aspects of the ocean, not as it sounds, but as it feels. 

Through generative techniques, where algorithms influence structure and detail, the composition mimics the unpredictable nature of waves, thoughts, and shifting inner currents. 
The result is not a direct simulation, but an evolving soundscape that captures the movement and instability of an internal ocean.

This ocean is metaphorical — an ocean of emotion, memory, and perception. It has little in common with literal wave sounds but resonates as a deep, sensory reflection of a mental state. The goal is not realism, but transformation: To turn the intangible into an auditory environment. This process creates a unique listening space where meaning is felt, not explained. The result is a deeply personal landscape, shaped by resonance, dissonance, and silence, where the listener is free to drift, dissolve, or reassemble within the sound.

DJ Xed started as a b-boy almost from day one since the beginning of electro funk era. He started dj-ing in the late 80's. 
10 years later he formed Crobot Crew with his longtime friend N-TER. Soon thereafter they started the record label @CrobotMuzik which would go on to release music from Fleck ESC, Datawave, The Advent, Carl Finlow, Microslav, DJ Godfather, Kalson, Go Nuclear and many more. 
Crobot Crew promoted several parties with A-list international guests such as AUX88, Anthony Rother, The Advent, Exzakt, Paul Blackford and more.
After almost 20 years of playing music he felt it was about time to start producing. He released for labels such as Twilight 76, Elektropunkz and Subsonic Device, and many more. 
He also made remixes for various artists like Aux 88, Newcleus, N-ter, Morphogenetic and Paul Blackford. 
He devoted his life to a genre that he likes to call real Electro and both are here to stay.
