For over 25 years now, Robert Heise has been a part of the electronic music scene. He started his career as resident DJ at the Club Kassablanca in Jena, where he performed with big players such as Robert Hood, Jeff Mills or Claude Young. While organising several Electronica parties with Dj Mikk in and around Jena, he was able to show his talents and give the parties/ music his own drive.

Robert founded the project The Exaltics in 2006, as well as the Electro/ Techno label SolarOneMusic with his long-term friend Nico Jagiella. Since then, he published countless 12"s and several LP's with labels like Clone, Crème Organization, Bunker or his own label SolarOneMusic and worked during that time with outstanding artists like Drexciya ́s Gerald Donald, Helena Hauff or the legendary Martin Gore from Depeche Mode. He turned his deep, cinematic, and, most of all, charismatic electro into his own trademark. Another signature is his special, dark and driven Acid Techno.

During his intense live performances, Robert presents his very unique version of Electro and Acid music.
The Exaltics played a lot of established clubs in cities like Berlin, Milano, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kyiv - just to name a few.

With 12 LP ́s and over 30 Ep ́s he is one of the most prolific and important Electro artists of the last decade.

TIGERCAST stands as an engaging monthly mix series. Its primary mission is to provide a platform for a wide-ranging spectrum of artists, each contributing to the elaborate and diverse landscape that defines the immersive realm of Electro.

q-bit is a DJ and producer from Offenbach with a long-standing connection to electronic music, shaped by years of vinyl collecting and a strong foundation in Electro and IDM. Active as a DJ since 2020, his sound is rooted in dark, computerized and atmospheric textures, drawing from classic 90s electro as well as contemporary releases.

His DJ sets are built as evolving journeys rather than fixed formats, responding to the space, the moment and the artists he plays alongside. Depending on the context, his selections move between driving and deep, combining raw and mechanical rhythms with gritty drums, droning synth lines and spacious atmospheres.This approach applies equally to club floors and radio sets, where flow, tension and mood are central. 

Alongside DJing, q-bit is also active in music production, extending the same sonic language into his own tracks. Built around synthesizers and drum machines, his productions explore dense atmospheres, grainy textures and machine-led grooves, reflecting the sound and structure of his DJ sets.

TIGERCAST 019 - q-bit

For the next @DarkScienceElectro premiere we take a listen to a track from a release on @DiscosAtonicos by the prolific artist @Dez-Williams

Dez has been steadily releasing music since 2003 under labels like @SCSI-AV, @WarmData, @TransientForce, @Battery-Park-Studio, @Shipwrec, @MechatronicaMusic, @NewFleshRecords and many more. It is arguable that he is the most productive Electro artist currently producing within our genre. He does venture into Techno territory as well however the rate at which he pumps out the jams is truly staggering. His most recent release comes to us care of a new label run by @Alienata called @DiscosAtonicos. With three releases under it's belt, the label moves to debut a four-track vinyl EP for the man himself. 

The track selected to debut on @DarkScienceElectro is the fantastic 'Zapmaciak'. Though short in length (coming in at 3 and a half minutes) this track treats listeners to solid drum programming, brooding bass lines and excellent effect processing utilizing the Waldorf Rocket. Staying true to form, Dez has delivered 5 amazing cuts impregnated with a strong dystopian atmosphere without straying from his signature electro style: crunchy bass lines, spaced out drama, alien funk and a touch of acid.
