Klex - Lifted [WARCC03]

Lithuanian duo Far East Flight, formed by Adventure Society & Jokios Kultūros, is back on the eclectic and respected label Electric Shapes, this time presenting the remixes of their namesake album released in August 2021. “FEF RMX” brings a handpicked pure-talent selection of competent artists such as Tassilo Vanhöfen, Rambal Cochet, Kolomensky, Tadan, Anatolian Weapons, Neu Verboten, plus the duo members themselves who creatively decided to reinterpret their own work, just to name a few.

If the originals present a vastly wealthy soundscape, varying from Breakbeat and Downtempo to Goa Trance and Leftfield, the remixes go a little further by inserting other sonorities like, for instance, House and Techno.

Premiered here, Tadan’s version proves the point. The London-based producer decided to bring “Reivaz” to a less trippy and psychedelic realm. Brought to life originally in two Trance versions in the “Far East Flight” EP, the theme now comes wearing a more minimalistic, robust, and energetic attire – definitely dressed to kill!

Our next @DarkScienceElectro premiere comes to us courtesy of San Francisco-based live act, DJ and producer @Sepehr-a with the 4-track release, mastered by scene veteran @RadioactiveMan. Known for his versatile sets which range from psychedelic Techno through to classical Acid, and with previous releases on respected San Francisco labels @DarkEntriesRecords and Residual, Sepehr continues to become one of San Francisco's most exciting talents. This release will be the first of a brand new label called EON Records, which is the purely Electro/Techno output of @afuturedimension.

The track selected by @DVSNME to premiere is the title track of the album called 'Cybernetic'. The overall feel of the track is straight-up Drexciyan without a doubt. From the shimmering, fast-moving hats to the droning pads and doom-inducing bass line, this track delivers on all fronts. Hypnotic arpeggios lines add to the mix creating a full-bodied 6-minute track that will get any dance floor moving.

PREMIERE: Sepehr - Cybernetic (EON Records)

This @DarkScienceElectro premiere comes to us from @96-Back via the one and only @CPUrecords. This Sheffield-based producer and son of a club promoter is dropping his debut LP on one of the best labels for Electro music today and, as you could imagine, it is absolute fire. The release itself certainly doesn't stay with one theme, moving quickly between ambient serenity and dance floor-aimed Electro tracks.

The selection picked to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is the potent track 'Ghzel Tea'. The track starts off innocently enough, allowing a full minute of build-up before the beat drops. From there the track moves into steady arpeggios that are remindful of older AUX-88. Additionally, mixing multiple drum kits together adds to the flavor of the track, which is done quite a bit on the records. My favorite element of the track is the simple, yet effective, bass line which gives the song a rubbery feel that I simply loved. This record drops on March first and can be pre-ordered now below.

PREMIERE: 96 Back - Ghzel Tea (Central Processing Unit)

For this installment we revisit the Portugal-based label @DreamTicketRecordings for their second premiere on @DarkScienceElectro. This time around we check out an upcoming release from a producer with 25 years of production under his belt, @The-Wee-DJs

The track selected to premiere is the last track on the record called 'Upheld'. This track features fantastic, Detroit-inspired stroby bass-line, high-pitched arpeggios and a very straight forward approach to drum production. The standout thing about this track resides in the beautifully haunting pad work. This element of the track really caught my attention and added a much-needed element of ethereal charm to the track. @The-Wee-DJs told us that "It's all created digitally on a PC using Vaz Modular. I jam out long sections and eventually when I've got enough content I edit it into a track in Sound Forge."  This release will be out on March 20th.
