ERIC AMES STARTED PLAYING MUSIC WHEN HE WAS 6 YEARS OLD. HIS FATHER BOUGHT HIM A RUBBER DRUM PAD AND HE IMMEDIATELY STARTED TRYING TO PLAY ALONG TO GREEN DAY SONGS. YEARS OF DRUMMING IN BANDS PASSED AND ERIC WANTED TO TRY OUT BEING A FRONTMAN. HE TAUGHT HIMSELF HOW TO PLAY POWER CHORDS ON AN OLD ACOUSTIC GUITAR AND STARTED WRITING MUSIC. MANY BANDS CAME AND WENT AND ERIC FELT STUCK IN A RUT OF WRITING THE SAME STYLE OF UPBEAT, POP-PUNK MUSIC RELEASE AFTER RELEASE. RECENTLY, HE DECIDED TO PUT A MORE FOCUSED EFFORT ON GUITAR SKILLS AND MUSIC THEORY. THE RESULT IS A HYBRID GENRE OF INDIE ROCK, BLUES, AND GROOVINESS. ERIC IS ALSO A PART OF THE DUO CUTE THREAT, ALONG WITH HIS PARTNER, SARAH SULLIVAN.
