Andrae Devon Baskerville (aka) A.D.B was originally born in Seattle, Washington. As a child he traveled a lot due to various family issues. As a result, ending up in Alabama he became enthused with music at a very young age. In his early teens A.D.B was a fan of most music genres which inspired him to began writing, starting off with poetry & eventually moving on to rap lyrics. Coming from a tough child hood and accompanied by his own troubles growing up, A.D.B tells his many life stories. Giving both joy and pain A.D.B, through his eyes gives his heart, mind & soul & hopefully through music will be an inspiration to all.

Gugx gang is the ultimate result of the laws of the attraction, six
emcees had been talking about the formation of a super ‘dream team’ of
a rap group, just randomly throwing it to the universe. Well the
universe answered ‘Gugx Gang’ , the crew was formed in 2013 by as the
name suggests Gugulethu emcees and producer/dj and solidified by the
online release of their 1st mix tape titled ‘mayhem mixtape’ in
conjunction with the event ‘battles on the block’ a project close to
heart to one of the members namely Machograf.
T.O.P, Macho, Hyphlife, KND, , Ill verse and Quest Maguire are the
fabric of the composition of this dynamic hip hop crew. Representing
something bigger than themselves that is the native yard where they
come from this way gugx gang becomes not only a hip hop of crew but
patriotic a state of mind the emcees are in. This is reflected in the
music, the vision, the hunger to succeed that is mutually symbiotic
within ‘Gugx Gang’.
Gugx Gang is a strong unit because of the wide variety of styles found
under one umbrella, the listener is spoiled for choice from witty
punchlines, street smarts, banging beats smooth deliveries all the way
to the metaphysical. When one listens you can almost tell the group is
an intersection of generation gaps with different influences, the old
and the new all influencing each other towards one singular extremely
dope hip hop product.

Achievements: Although some of the achievements maybe individual it
reflects on the credibility of Gugx Gang. Members have shared stages
with the likes of Razz Kazz, Vast Aire, Wordsworth, Talib Kweli ,
Asheru ,Planet Asia, Sky Zoo and many more.
Gugx Gang has released two mixtapes since their formation namely a
‘Mayhem Mixtape’ and ‘Fight Night Mixtape’ and plan to continue doing
so on a bi-monthly basis on right into 2014.
Gugx Gang are torch bearers for the event ‘Battles on the Block’, that
is Cape Town‘s ultimate rap battle league
