Flex V.2 is OUT NOW! @hi_mee_toe spoke to me about a list of songs he’s had compiled ove the years of movie montage music and had shared that it would be really dope to see it come to life one day. I told him I was willing to take up the task & we both let the idea sink in. Fast Forward to December 2020, Jaime txt me the list and I was stoked to say the least. I finally was able to start working on it this month and here we are!This is 80s mix sprinkled w/ some dxsko sauce here and there. Very different from any mix I’ve ever done. It definitely challenged me musically like never before. I had to rethink how to mix, blend and all at the same time still try to put my own style in it. 30 songs in 45 mins! I put a lot of thought into the mix, so I hope you all enjoy it.

Rene Tovar aka Dxsko, was born in Indio, CA in 1989. Dxsko is a multi-genre/open format turntablist disc jockey.

During his time at CSUSB, he invested time in his craft, Soon becoming a resident DJ around the I.E. at nightclubs, the National Orange Show, and various Cal-State San Bernardino events, as he was a student completing his degree in Business.

In 2012, Dxsko became a part of an independent label, Black Cloud Music, as the official DJ. In 2013, Dxsko and his labelmates went on a national tour as the opening act for the “Road to Paid Dues Tour,” along with Fashawn, Prof, and headliner Murs. From 2013-2017, Dxsko was heavily involved in the Hip Hop Music scene in IE. He continued to tour and also opened for many big name acts like 2chainz, DMX, Currensy, Murs and many more. 

In 2017, Dxsko made the move back to the Coachella Valley to rebuild his brand. He has been a resident dj at various venues around the valley. For example, Agua Caliente CC, Moxie Nightclub, Bart Lounge, Copa Nightclub, Antigua and the newly open Pretty Faces.

Dxsko is currently taking many residencies all around Southern California through big parties like Gasolina Party, Y2K AF, and Belico Party held at Reforma Palm Springs. In 2023, Dxsko had the opportunity to play the Coachella campgrounds and was surprised with a Weekend 1 opening set inside the fairgrounds, culminating in an unforgettable appearance on the lineup at the Gobi stage. That historic year featured headliners Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and BLACKPINK, cementing Dxsko’s presence among a star-studded festival roster.

With a seamless blend of Dance music, house, hip hop, R&B, 2000s music, and reggaeton, DXSKO continues to captivate crowds, delivering high-energy sets that embody both nostalgia and modern flair. As a well-known local DJ, DXSKO’s signature sound and versatility have made him a staple in Southern California’s vibrant music scene, keeping dance floors alive from intimate venues to massive festivals.
