MOST EPIC GEEK FANDOM MEDLEY YOU'VE EVER HEARD

Dylan A. Smith is a composer for film, television, video games, and multimedia. He is adept at composing for many different genres and enjoys focusing on theory, composition, mixing, mastering, and notation. He has been professionally writing for film and television since 2016. 



Dylan has been lucky enough to have his work included in the DC universe, Teen Titans Go, TMZ Investigates: Tiger King, Ink Master, Deadly Rich, Ellen Degeneres, SmartJustice, and award-winning, independent film Unconditional. Recently, he completed a project for 5Alarm Music composing an orchestral album inspired by the style of Danny Elfman. The album was recorded by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. 

 

Dylan’s interest in music started at the young age of 8 when he learned to play the trumpet. He went on to become skilled in percussion, guitar, bass, and piano (with a little harmonica and penny whistle here and there). His hobby developed into a love for the craft of filmmaking and film music. He was especially inspired by the works of Danny Elfman, James Newton Howard, and John Powell. His mission was and continues to be, that of becoming as versatile a composer as possible while finding his own unique voice within the genre of media music. He aims to combine his work with visual media in the pursuit of creating stories that resonate with audiences.



Dylan prefers to spend his spare time with his wife, Shelby, their dog, Groot, and their cat, James P. Sullivan (Sully for short). He also has a (healthy) obsession for reptiles and cares for three unique ball pythons - Lumiere, Gumbo, and Eli “Big Daddy” LeBeouf. He also has an (unhealthy) obsession with Appalachian folk music and plays his banjo every chance he gets.
