i was messing around with the pitch, master, and drums of the original, and ended up actually liking the result. i tried to give it a more moody and downtempo feel compared to before, without totally taking away all of the upbeat, hopeful and rising energy (most of which comes from the steady rhythm of the percussion as well as the fast paced synth arps). the new drums, which are a lot more balanced and not harsh on the ears with too much high end, add a pretty nice breakcore-ish (?)kind of sound that i like a lot. finally, i took out the ambient clean guitar from the layers for most of the song, since i thought there were enough layers without it and didn't want things to sound too cluttered or muddy. 

fun fact, this is the first time i've touched fl in months btw, i was rusty af and had to refresh my memory on everything. still not sure if i might get back into music though

also can i just say that i really hate the fact that soundcloud only lets me comment 3 times a day
