hunter/gatherer is a fifth wave emo band from cincinnati, ohio. it currently consists of spencer ahlfeld on guitar and vocals and murf carpenter on bass. hunter/gatherer combines twinkly riffs, gritty bass, intricate rhythms, and vulnerable lyrics that culminate in a raw outpouring of feelings of frustration, sadness, loneliness, disappointment, helplessness, and longing.
