The Morning Yells are a rock band from Los Angeles, CA, and released their debut full-length album May 17, 2019. With an old-school feel and style, their music is new and familiar at once. The group draws comparisons to The War on Drugs, The Verve, Fleetwood Mac, Wilco, and Tom Petty.

Dylan was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He grew up learning, playing, and writing with late Dallas musician Carter Albrecht (Edie Brickell, Charlie Sexton, Salim Nourallah). Since leaving Dallas he became something of a migrant troubadour.   

His songs and his voice reflect the ups, downs, lefts, rights, spoils, and toils of his travelling. The music is ingrained with a distinct and modern take on Folk/pop music heavily influenced by his namesake, Bob Dylan and other great singer-songwriters past and present (Tom Waits, Cat Stevens, Van Morrison, Richie Havens, Townes Van Zandt, Jeff Tweedy, Glen Hansard, Ryan Adams, Ray LaMontagne). His sound may be modern, but it harks the folk tradition in its lyrical poignancy. In 2011 he was recognized for his songwriting by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) as a finalist for the Robert Allen Songwriting award. Dylan has been an active member of the LA songwriter and independent club scene since moving to LA in 2012. 

Trevor Smith is a multi-instrumentalist native Missourian (pronounced Mizz-er-en) and a “mighty fine fella and songwriter.” Dylan and Trevor met through their mutual friend, L.A.songwriter Edward Herda, and bonded immediately over their shared musical tastes and favorite songwriters (John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, The Band, Neil Young).  Over the last four years, Trevor has been performing with his band Flowerglass throughout southern California and the country to critical acclaim. Trevor was also lead guitarist and musical director for Dylan on the shows surrounding Dylan’s 2014’s release “The Swill to the Swell,” and organically the songs for “King or Ghost” came out of extended porch song trading sessions.  From there the songs were fleshed out with Curran McDowell (drums) and Aaron Stern (bass). Under the guidance of producer Max Allyn at his studio in Topanga (the Outpost), “King or a Ghost” came together over the course of several months. The band just finished mastering the record and plans on playing in support of it later this summer in Southern California, and already has another crop of songs in the works.

Founder of Noble Music (1992), Tony Shimkin has extensive experience in composing and producing music for high profile artists, discovering and developing new talent and working with music for picture. Working as a music editor, engineer, producer and composer Tony has worked with a diverse list of artists including Madonna, Paul McCartney, Prince, Mariah Carey, Elton John, George Benson and Janet Jackson. His Songs and productions have appeared in films by Paramount, Lionsgate, Universal, TriStar and Disney.

Shimkin co-founded LMNOP music and sound design in 1996 and between 2001 and 2009 was a composer and Creative Director for the bicoastal music house Face The Music. Tony's commercial work includes compositions for, Mercedes, Visa, Oil Of Olay, McDonalds, Pepsi, Scion, Ford, Chrysler and Chevy. His work has been featured during numerous Superbowl telecasts. Tony has worked closely with acclaimed director Fabien Baron to score numerous Calvin Klien, Armani, Loreal, Carolina Herrera and Burberry. Shimkin has penned compositions for networks that include Showtime, HBO, CNN and the theme to MTV's "Driven".

In 2011 Tony joined Verse Music Group as Sr. VP of Production and garnered attention for his reintroduction of Golden Records, the most successful Children's record label in history.  His production of new Golden Record Celebrity releases combined the restored and remastered classic recordings from the 1950's with modern sound design and wonderfully produced performances from Ziggy Marley, Neil Patrick Harris, Susan Sarandon, Ed Asner, Alicia Silverstone, Cheryl Hines, Busy Philipps, Wayne Brady, David Alan Grier and many more.  Golden Records "The Magic Continues" and "The Magic Lives On" were each awarded The Parents Choice Gold Award.

In his 25 years in the music Tony has worked as a composer, producer, engineer, programmer and editor, he has run several successful companies and has developed long lasting relationships throughout the industry. Tony has served as both moderator and panelist on multiple ASCAP and CMJ Industry panels. Tony has been the recipient of many multi-platinum records, honored with several LIAA award nominations and his work in advertising music has been featured in the book The Superbowl of Advertising.

Tony's love of music knows no boundaries. "My exposure to music was never limited to one genre. I raided my parents eclectic record collection which included Sinatra, Beethoven, KISS, Patsy Cline, Carly Simon and Barry Manilow. The first arena concerts I attended were The Kinks, AC/DC and Van Halen. in high school I played in hardcore bands at CBGBs and frequented NYC's West village Jazz clubs. Whenever I travel I returned with a collection of regional music and once I started working on music for picture I found that anything goes. Music consistently amazes and inspires me and the beauty of it is that it all comes from some combination of or between 12 notes."Noble Music is the music production, supervising and licensing division of Noble Media.
