November will see !Organism call upon Portugal’s Cardao for three thrilling techno cuts and Andre Kronert for a fine remix that will make up their 115th release. 

Cardao has been busy in the scene for ten years and takes big inspiration from greats like Carl Craig and Jeff Mills and many other Detroit heroes. His style is powerful and raw, cerebral as well as physical, and to date he has proven this with releases on labels like Monocline Records, 91Records and E2Points.

The stellar ‘Heart Cosmonaut’ is up first and over seven minutes really creates a brilliantly spacey vibe with its spooky and rippling melodies, supple drum lines and elongated grooves. Full of atmosphere and cinematism it’s a great opener. ‘Cosmic Galaxy’ continues in the intergalactic techno vain with eerie and spacious, deep and heady grooves that are economical and hugely effective. 

The remix comes from ODD EVEN boss Andre Kronert who is a synonym for powerful and high-octane club sounds as both a DJ and producer. The likes of Len Faki often reach for his work and for good reason, because it is brilliantly loopy and involving. This remix is no different and builds in creepy little layers to a widescreen techno groove direct from outer space. 

Last of all, ‘Haunted Synthesizer’ has a loopy lead synth line that rocks back and forth on its heels as distant pulses and static electricity sounds colour a paddy techno drum line. Weightless and expertly sci-fi, it’s pure musical storytelling. 

This is one of the more heady and considered EPs !Organism has released lately and marks another high point for the tireless label.

Longtime resident of the label Stefan Vincent offers up Dynamic Reflection’s 37th vinyl, a four tracker consisting of three distinct original mixes from Stefan’s own hands and a remix by the fellow Dutchmen Artefakt. 

For everyone who has heard of Stefan Vincent and his music before, it’s no secret that he favors the use of melody and melancholy to bring purport to his tracks and The Spaces Between Time is no exception. While peculiar parts of sound design do their job by keeping things in motion at all times, lush pads find their counterpart in the familiar sounds of vintage drum machines that lay the foundation of these contemporary pieces of techno.

Add to that a very dreamy yet effective remix by Artefakt on the A2 and the tone is undeniably set. DREF037 is the kind of patiently evolving and expanding techno that crowds just will not get enough of, guaranteed.

Concerns Music delivers a new EP from Argentinian duo LPP who have their music released on Illegal Alien, Newrhythmic, Concepto Hipnotico, ANAØH, amongst many others since 2016.

The Grey Scene EP continues their high standard of output with freaky productions that are a mental workout as well as ready to rattle a club soundsytem. Also contributing with two remixes to the package are Parisian Keikari alongside Fixeer from Mexico.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the “Stone Pillow” remix by Keikari who has recent appearances on Faut Section and EarToGround. A thumping kick and gritty bassline warms up the rework from the off, followed by an encroaching, analogue swell that forms a menacing atmosphere. Throw in some morphing acid tones and this brooding beast really does excite.

Magna Pia makes a welcome return to the Soma family with his latest release, the Narcissist EP. As one half of the duo Cassegrain, Hüseyin Evirgen has been at the forefront of the European Techno scene for some time. Since starting the Magna Pia alias with Soma in the last couple of years, he has taken further steps to cement his place as one of contemporary Techno’s heroes. 

Title track Narcissist sets a strong pace as direct and fast paced drums lead perfectly into a jarring and catchy hook, blended together with straight up percussion and persistent drones. Next up, The Sun In My Disgrace lends itself to a more hypnotic feel as pulsating synths build steadily against a flurry of crisp 808 hats. Into The Flood Again closes out the EP as Magna Pia once again delivers on a trance-inducing trip complete with subtle sequences that ebb and flow throughout the track, building tension throughout.
