Segment, real name Vladimir Špata, is a DJ and producer who lives in Hradec Králové. We have known each other for several years and today we bring you his DJ set for our PLAY. podcast with number 33. 
Vladimir is the founder of the event "Come In", which he later transformed with his colleague "Citty" into the music publishing house "Come In Records". At https://comeinrecords.bandcamp.com/music you will find two records released so far - first EP named "Glaciers", which you could also hear recently in a video from Marosh from our PLAY. studio and the other EP "Planets", whose complete mastering was done at The Losh Studio. Both records present the publisher's intention to offer new trends on the Czech underground scene. Same intention has his second brand within the project "Seismic", which is based in Hradec Králové and in a very short time has developed into a respected event in the Czech Republic.

Opposites coexist in an eternal loom that intertwines it all.
There is a magnetic energy, a sort of attraction between them that allows balance to exist.

We usually tend to see Nature and Machinery as opposites. But are they really?
There's undoubtedly a strong correlation between the evolution of one and the other and we can usually see machines & technology as another layer in Nature's realms.

Art & creations made through machines usually allow us to innerly explore diverse aspects of nature and understand them from another perspective. Many times music created using machines takes us to natural landscapes and helps us find inner connection with nature itself.
Wether they are opposites or not, we are strong believers that there is a potential balance within the coexistance of Nature and Machinery.

This dual compilation is intended to prove it.

Há uma certa tendência em achar-se que ser DJ é elementar. Em termos leigos, não basta apenas "acertar umas batidas". Aliás, é esse pensamento que separa os comuns dos predestinados, ou não estivesse tão distante da verdade. A técnica conta e o entender a música eletrónica na sua fase de construção também. SLNC sabe-o e isso faz dele um artista peculiar. 
As muitas horas que passou do outro lado da cabine, na pista de dança, conferem-lhe uma sensibilidade ímpar, que hoje em dia usa para que possa atingir, com relativa facilidade, um enlace perfeito entre si, a sua música e os que agora ocupam o lugar que outrora foi seu, como ouvinte.

O interesse pelo Techno, esse, veio cedo. Por influências familiares, através das cassettes com radioshows gravados por um primo. Pelo 'djing' e produção, um pouco mais tarde, quando na sua cidade natal, o Porto, começou a frequentar festas ora no Gare, ora no Indústria. 
Mais tarde, em 2018, enquanto residia no Reino Unido adquiriu o seu primeiro gear. Aí sim, o sonho e a imaginação começaram a transformar-se em desejo de conquista e na sua cabeça começou a conceber a ideia que o papel do artista é infinitamente maior do que apenas pôr música. Exige disciplina, treino, técnica e muito, muito tempo. Ter a capacidade de pôr gente a dançar através da injeção de estímulos momentâneos, buscando sempre a faixa perfeita para cada momento. É esse o objetivo primordial, não é? SLNC fá-lo com uma naturalidade gritante, deambulando entre uma abordagem mais mental e dub ou outra mais hipnótica, de ritmos mais físicos e acelerados, mantendo contudo uma linha condutora singular e inolvidável.
