Told through the story of a pilot's passion lost and found, this song is about the courage to choose what one loves, and equally importantly, the commitment to love what one chooses despite the hardship it inevitably brings. We can often get stuck in a maze of unrealized possibilities - always wondering, stalling, procrastinating, switching, optimizing, min-maxing, but never moving forward. This song offers an alternative philosophy, that all paths are guaranteed to be imperfect and challenging, but the key is choosing one and, through relentless and unwavering commitment and faith, take it to a fulfilling destination.

A special ton of thanks goes to the wonderful producer The Puzzle Box (@neptunewashere) for co-composing, arranging and producing this song with me throughout the last six months. Without his creativity and dedication, the story wouldn't be narrated with such a rich, heartfelt and cinematic soundscape. I especially like the sense of travel through time that he sculpted into the instrumentals, capturing the warmth of the journey with a hint of wistfulness. Life is a brilliant but very limited one-way trip, choosing one path often means closing off many/all others. Wouldn't it be nice if we can save and reload to experience the different endings? Sadly we're limited beings with a single, linear play through. So let's make this one play through really count!

Though I've helped to create a few original songs before, this is the first song ever that I initiated (though I've since initiated a couple of other original songs and finished them sooner...). So this song marks a pivotal milestone on my musical journey. As an artist I'm hopelessly naive, both in terms of my skills and in terms of my dreams. I want to create songs that resonate with human emotions, songs that provide some form of comfort and spiritual companionship especially to those in need, songs that lift people up. I'm not sure to what extent I could achieve this goal with my limited talent and time, but I'm throwing myself at it to take it as far as I can. If my music resonates with you, my existence as an artist is not in vain. If you know someone who might resonate with a song of mine, please help it find its way to them, I'd be really grateful.
