Already enjoying much support as part of the “Give Love EP” (Guess), and its inclusion on One51's “Bridge & Divide EP”, Swedish producer Magnus Wallberg re-introduces “Breaking New Ground" featuring Pouyah (spoken word). This is the South American Miles Borrero Remix, the full release features an awesome package of remixes including Richard Earnshaw, Undertone and the original Magnus Wallberg version
Already included on One51's 2009 WMC Miami sampler, the Undertone remix takes thing back with a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Undertone, aka Ed Melconian, employs raw beats, gritty Rhodes and sub bass, coupled with some intuitive arranging. A brief look at Undertone's history with see artists as diverse as Barbara Tucker and Gene Kelly, through to Mood II Swing and Lucy Pearl all receiving Ed's treatment. Ed released his first record in 1993 off the back of the Sunday Sessions mix series, and his passion for House music hasn't stopped since. Undertone's debut EP Sexy Thing gained support around the world for its nostalgic beats. Remixes for The Migrants (I Thought That, Apollo)
and Izmo (Blue Light, Little Angel Records) have begun to spread the word that 90's deep House is back with a new twist. New boy in the fold, Miles Borrero captures the very essence of the One51 sound with live, gritty drums and jazz influenced instrumentation, drafting in the skills of classically renowned trumpeter Fraser Tannock (National Symphony Orchestra and European Chamber Opera to name a few) for some wonderfully improvised solos. A simple yet effective mix, dishing out plenty of poolside vibes for future summer months.

Breaking New Ground (Miles Borrero Remix) One51 Recordings

Dubwize!!  This tune will be released on the forthcoming Fokuz 66 release.  The release will be available on 12", CD and digital.

Digital Blus has dedicated 2014 to add a plethora of new artists – including Austria's own Carter. As a long time fan of all styles of drum and bass, Carter has secured great connections with the likes of the legendary Bryan Gee, Paul SG, Roy Green & Protone, Dave Owen, Kasper, and Hybrid Minds. First making his imprint in 2013, the Austrian was signed to Jazzsticks Recordings. 2014 will see a steady schedule of releases by this man on the likes of Blu Saphir, Influenza Media, Fokuz, Liquid V, and Soul Deep.

A. MIND MOSAIK:

Get your antennae set. The melody is about to take hold! Oh yes! A lovely piano lullaby! And we drop! Oscillators dedicate to the background while sweeping melodies take up the first drop. A brief interlude stops the music, inserting vocals before the pianos and drums go back to play. Those in the know about the Blu Saphir vibes will enjoy this one!


B. SHE'S GONE:

She's Gone is another piano roller like the previous, but a bit more upbeat. Drums attack from the first downbeat. While the vocals suggest a morose atmosphere, this very danceable number is well-crafted. Saxophone melodies pick up following the vocal drop. The break sees a brief sax solo with piano accompanied accents, leading to the second drop. Then we go through the great motions for a second time!

Journeying through an eclectic set of tracks from the deep jungle trek of ‘Time Traveller’ to the hypnotic warehouse wanderings of ‘Shadows’, tempting the ear with the all-alluring vocals of Deeizm. Title track, ‘Flawless’ takes a trip through a daydream state, following through with the funk fusions of ‘Past-Time Cruiser’ before dropping into ‘Harder Than Sox’ for some relentless percussive pull-ins.

Command Stranges' latest release flips the script once again and finds this talented and prolific producer team up with a host of exciting artists for the Lifetime EP. 

Perfectly striking the balance between deep, emotive, rolling Drum & Bass and tearing bassline workouts Alexey once again sets himself out from the crowd. 

This EP isn't a lone effort though, with label mates Alibi on hand for the majestic 'Skyline' and rising star Satl on the buttons with him on 'Life' alongside Pouyah on vocals there definitely is strength in numbers! These two co-labs sit alongside solo track Zero Sugar, with its nods to the original V and Full Cycle vibes, this is real D&B at its finest.

On this third release from CODE, we bring up some of the finest names in liquid dnb for remix duties on several Science Fiction classics. Upon their initial release back in 2008 on the now defunct Inside Recordings, "Jah No Dead" and "I Ask You Why" caused quite a stir on the scene for their dub influenced vibes. Limited to only a few vinyl presses, word quickly spread within the scene and copies have long since disappeared. 

By comparison, Bungle's remix of "Spanish Sun" has long been something of a liquid anthem. Originally featured on the flipside of the infamous "Song For Lovers" 12" .. the track was quickly picked up by Drum n Bass Arena as part of their Summer Selection compliation. In more recent years since, Bungle aka Andre Sabota has been pushing his sound into both house and techno whilst still dropping drum n bass anthems like the recent Soul:r release "Astral Travel". 

CODE is now proud to release these three landmark liquid dnb tracks for the first time ever on digital download.
