We are happy to present you the new Klangwelt release produced by italian newcomer '1979'.
His demos directly drew some attention half a year ago and we instantly knew we found a new member of the Klangwelt family in him. His music can be described as soulful, organic sounding tech house and like in the italian kitchen, he is using simple but high quality ingredients to make his style this tasty. No more words of us needed , we will leave Giovanni a little space to tell you more about this release:

"FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE" was produced and recorded during the summer of 2015.
I usually spend most part of the hot season in a seaside resort near Venice, and even last year I've been there for nearly one month. It's really a great place to chill it out! When I came back home from there, I felt "sad" to be absent of this wonderful place.. In this state of melancholy , I started recording stuff in my studio, making some beats and finally put together a bunch of good ideas. I mainly have used some strange lo-fi field recordings, analogue synths from my collection and I also recorded a few pieces from my house's piano. The Ep wants simply (to) tell the story about some seaside adventures, odd characters and to celebrate a handful of lovely days near a Lighthouse in the Adriatic Sea.

Dear friends of Connaisseur,
In our scene, a decade is a long time.
When we started the label, we didn't have a master plan, we simply wanted to put out good music we loved, of which we were sure others would love it as well. The way Connaisseur subsequently grew came naturally. If you are music lovers like we are, current musical tendencies will of course always have an infuence on your sound,but basically we stayed true to ourselves and our core has always stayed the same. Yes, we love melodies, yes, we love deepness and yes, we love great emotions, but in which electronic style these are conveyed, is rather secondary. That is our leitmotif, from "Eve By Day" until today and every day to come.
For our anniversary release, we had the idea of asking for collaborations only, as we like the energy of two creative minds coming together and creating something special. Some of the chosen couples had already worked together, others had not. As a result, we now have 6 collaborations, which will be released digitally in two parts and as a selection of three tracks from the two parts on a very nice, limited vinyl.
We are very happy about the variety of styles we have received: From modern trance in the best possible manner f r o m Olderic and Peter Pardeike, over timeless Detroit-infuenced techno-guardian sound by the two legends Aril Brikha and Chymera, start-of-the-art melodic tech-house from our fgureheads Lehar and Musumeci, a cover-version of the 90ies alternative rock classic „Pets“ from Pornos for Pyros by our norse darlings Of Norway in collaboration with the Scandinavian pop- star Linnea Dale and the multi-instrumentalist Preben Olram, a Warp-style electronica pearl by the Wareika sidekick project Silky Raven together with Hamburg club-dj legend Solaris 100, to last but not least a techy guarantor by Maltese pirate The Element and Connaisseur label head Alex Flitsch.

Why do we tell stories?

We breathe, we eat, we sleep. We seek connection. These are our basic human needs.

But there is one more need we all share, and it centres on stories. All across the world, stories are being recounted everywhere, in every imaginable way, at any given time. For telling stories is at the very essence of what it is to be human.

The universe of stories can be broken down into seven basic plots which underlie all stories ever told. Recognising these patterns is the gateway to unravelling the universal symbolic language from which all storytelling is spun.

With Voyage & Return, Chapter 24 returns with seven tracks collected from artists across the world to bring these themes to life. 

This broad-ranging edition of the series spans storytelling electronica from Peruvian Luis Leon, while NO GRAVITY and Olivier Weiter offer two variations on the broken beat theme. Meanwhile, label newcomers Yacine Dessouki & Alani make their own contribution with the organic house of the powerful opening track. 

Elsewhere big dancefloor cuts are offered by QUARTZ and Several Definitions, before deft emotional composition from Christopher Ivor brings the compilation to a clean and satisfying close.

They say that there are only seven basic plots but a thousand different stories. 

And so, as the storyteller utters that age-old, magical phrase "Once upon a time...", let yourself be carried away…

Following on from the Rebellion release at the start of this year, Italian producer Rowee returns to the label with Dharmony. A spiritual offering, the two track EP is a fitting addition to the Rebellion  catalogue.

A rich landscape of playful synths,  Dharmony is a fusion of melodies and harmonies that set the tone for the EP. Rowee was inspired by the Dharma, “ a key concept with multiple meanings in the Indian religions. There is no single word translation for Dharma in Western languages. In Hinduism, Dharma is the   order   that   makes   life   and   universe   possible,  the ‘right way of living’ ”.

On the B-Side, Rowee manipulates KnowKontrol‘s vocal into a new dimension. Intricate sounds are layered over the baseline, concluding this otherworldly trip.

Rowee is prolific Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli. Fresh from his release on Seth Troxler's Play it Say it imprint and nominated in the category of Best Track at Vicious Music Awards, Leonardo Gonnelli has demonstrated his exceptional talent as a DJ whilst playing at worldwide events such as the legendary Space Miami, Pacha Buenos Aires, BPM Mexico, Dockyard Festival (ADE) in Amsterdam and Sonar.

Having recently remixed Yousef ‘Vanity’ feat. The Angel on Crosstown Rebels, 2017 marks the start of a new chapter for Rowee, promising   a bright future of what is yet to come.
