A light-hearted colourful yet very well  dancefloorish DJ set played on the second day of our exposition party in December 2022, starting with Chill out/Chillgressive 118 bpm blending in some Deep House, Tech Trance and move on to House and some old-school Progressive banger on 130 bpm.

Review:
"Both tracks have a great techno sound that fits well within the realm of Enigma EP. They remind of some of the works from artists like Boris Brechja, Deniz Bul, Amelie Lens, and Charlotte de Witte.

In terms of production quality, as always, Luke tracks are clean and crisp, with clear basslines and rhythmic elements that keep the listener engaged throughout their runtime. I especially appreciate how each track has its own unique atmosphere, ranging from darker sounds to more energetic vibes.

The first track, "Drunk Pistoleiro," features heavy kick drums and pulsing synth stabs that build tension and drive the tempo forward. There are occasional breaks in the beat that add variety and provide opportunities for interesting transitions. Overall, this track creates a moody, hypnotizing effect that would fit perfectly in any late-night dance floor set.

On the other hand, "Enigma" takes things up a notch with driving percussion and shimmering melodies. This one feels faster paced and packed with energy, making it perfect for peak time sets. The production work here is particularly impressive as the layers come together seamlessly, creating a cohesive groove that gets feet moving on the dancefloor.

Both tracks are strong offerings that showcase Colborn's technical skills and creativity. As a fan of the genre, I can confidently say that these tracks will find plenty of playtime at DJ booths across the globe. If you enjoy tracks by Boris Brechja, Deniz Bul, Amelie Lens, and Charlotte de Witte, then don't miss out on adding these gems to your collection."

The sound of this EP is downtempo, chillout and ambient with psychedelic elements.
The tracks create a dreamy, floaty headspace through the use of lush pads, ethereal synths, and gentle rhythms.
The overall vibe is very chilled-out and relaxing, suitable for meditation or just zoning out.

Track by Track:

'Under a Bright Star' starts things off slowly with shimmering keys and a warm bassline that builds in intensity over time. This sets the tone for the EP's soothing yet engaging soundscape.
'Unknown Signal' takes the listener on a more psychedelic journey with trippy synth effects and a pulsing beat that evokes the feeling of floating through space.
'Endless Energy' is the highlight of the EP, transporting the listener to an almost out-of-body state through its use of atmospheric sounds and a hypnotic rhythm.
'Gravitational Singularity' closes the EP by washing over the listener with soothing ambient textures, leaving one feeling refreshed and recharged.

This is a very well-crafted EP that achieves its goal of creating a meditative yet engaging listening experience through sound. The tracks are expertly produced and arranged to build a cohesive journey from start to finish.

While the music may not break any new ground stylistically, it executes the downtempo-psychill styles very well, making for a relaxing and thought-provoking listen.
I would highly recommend this EP for fans of ambient, chillout and downtempo music looking for something to help them zone out and recharge.
The mood and vibe created here are truly transportive, and the production quality is high throughout. This is the kind of EP I can see myself returning to again and again for moments of calm reflection.

BIOGRAPHY:

Dynamic Illusion, also known as Daniel Gyarmati, was born in 1985 in Szombathely, Hungary. Music has been a part of his life since his childhood years. His father’s loves of music also infected him in his early years with his old vinyl classics like Kraftwerk and Jean Michell Jarre.

Daniel spent eight years honing his musical talent at a music conservatory, playing for the local orchestra. After getting his first PC at age 13, he began to discover the musical possibilities of the computer, composing his first pieces of music. At the same time, he became exposed to the DJ scene, attending parties and becoming influenced by the energetic tech sounds of Dave Clark, Chris Liebing, and Umek, as well as the progressive music of DJs like John Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seaman, and Max Graham.

Daniel’s musical obsession made him search his inner self for something unique. He was torn: he still loved the energy that techno gave him, but at the same time felt that the genre was regressing. He was in dire need of change and found his real love: progressive house. This was music where you could combine funk, drive, melodies, ass-shaking beats, and awkward sounds all in one, rather than using a single formula that he had grown tired of.

Nowadays he got more than 100 tracks released and many are feedbacked and played by the biggest names from the scene like Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Moshic, Quivver, Solarstone, Lemon8, Jaytech, Fernando Ferreyra, Michael & Levan, Faskil, Kintar and many more...

Besides his work as a producer, Daniel is also credited as being an excellent DJ. His sets these days are as diverse as his productions, blending progressive, breaks, and deep house into a very distinct and atmospheric sound. 

He has been featured with exclusive mixsets on every month, at Frisky Radio (Mindfields) where the intelligent dance music gets the leading part, with co-host Retroid. 

At 2012 he started his own record label called Deep Dive, that is focused for deep house music, and at 2013 the sublabel called Star Dive, wich is the place for he's progressive and break expressions.
