Dynamic Illusion & Kelly Noland - Run Away Part2 [Suffused Music, SMD135]

The 135th release on Suffused Music finds the label revisiting Dynamic Illusion's 'Run Away EP'. Released in November of 2015 the four track offering showcased the Hungarian artists pendant for all things deep and progressive, along with the title selection, a gorgeous vocal cut in collaboration with Kelly Noland. Now as we enter the warm summer months Suffused Music presents new interpretations of 'Run Away' courtesy of Gary J. Brown aka GBrown, Sean McClellan and KIDD Corp. 

The release begins with GBrown returning to Suffused Music for his second appearance following a contribution to the labels Initializing Vol. 9 collection in April. Based in New Orleans, USA Gary has been exploring deeper shades of house and techno for the better part of the last 5 years. Returning to Suffused Music he takes 'Run Away' and reshapes it into a dark progressive minded production aimed squarely at the dance floor. Beginning with tough beats, growling synths and reprocessed vocals it doesn't take long before you're fully engaged in this one. Rugged stabs and razor sharp designs cut through the atmosphere while a trail of vocals add a sense of despair as the main break commences. Sparse and calculated, the tracks centrepiece continues the dark narrative with sonically mulched vocals once again taking centre stage and ultimately setting up an epic finale. A cutting edge interpretation from GBrown and one the progressive underground is sure to enjoy. 

The second interpretation of 'Run Away' is provided by Sean McClellan who is making his eighth appearance on Suffused Music. The US artist's history in electronic music has been well documented with appearances on John Digweed's Bedrock Records and the long standing Baroque imprint being highlights. His timeless approach is a welcome addition to any project and he's turned in an exceptional interpretation of 'Run Away'. Keeping the mysterious tone of the original well intact Sean works rugged synths and vocal snips throughout the first act before smooth chord changes up the emotional content. A pair of synth overlays converge for a blissful moment, tastefully done it seals a strong third act and the tracks overall brilliance as a result. Wonderful remix from Sean.

The release concludes with KIDD Corp making their label debut. This newly formed quartet includes Gabor Darnoci, Daniel Gyarmati (aka. Dynamic Illusion), Krisztian Kovacs and Imre Szegedi who have come together to cultivate the real values of the progressive legacy and future from a wholehearted perspective. They close the release out with a chillout interpretation of 'Run Away'. Led by broken beats and sultry rhythms, Kelly's vocal shines amidst a delicate and heartfelt storyboard which leaves you wanting to hear more from this new found production team. A fabulous end to a top notch remix pack from Suffused Music. Don't miss it.

No stranger to Rebellion, LA based DAVI returns to the label once more with his wonderfully smooth ‘Metropolis EP’ containing four original tracks. Distinguished for his layered and highly skilled production, DAVI has created an atmospheric EP.

"Metropolis is the continuation of my previous EP’s on Rebellion that represent the stories from ancient history. This topic has been a big influence for me for quite some time and I am happy to say that my story is finally complete with this EP”. DAVI  

His musical path began after he joined the Vocal Department of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory at a young age. Now much older, DAVI is a DJ, producer, music composer and remixer whilst also regularly touring the world. His music has enabled him to grace the crowds in venues such as Avalon, Black Rock City and Monday Night Social, and release on labels including Outside the Box Music, Treibstoff, Nine Records, Stripped Music Recordings and Bits & Pieces.

With great pleasure, we are ready to announce our very big release! This time we have on board great artist, called Dynamic Illusion, also known as Daniel Gyarmati! This is the first album of Daniel, so we are very proud, that he choose our label for release it. (@welcomemusiclabel)

Some words about album from Daniel:
After 10 years of music production, finally I decided to make something bigger. Together with Welcome Music, we started to compile a few of my progressive breaks track and at the end of the round, we found a whole artist album, with a great concept and true emotional sounding.

01. Ha Te Tudnad.
This song tells us a story from a girl, who finding her secret love what she can't even tell for her platonic lover. It is a tribute to my country and folk music also.

02. Bright Heaven. 
A place in our heart and mind. Let me say a big thanks here for the wonderful vocal snippets by the amazing singer and musician Kelly Noland.

03. Just In Time. 
This song started to build around the piano theme whereby I felt in love for first time. Everything else I "just" built around during the same night.

04. Dreamcatcher. 
It was hard to find a good name for this song but a few days of thinking I finally decided to call it Dreamcatcher. Actually based on the great piece of poetry what Nimi (Peter Nemeth) recorded by my request. Thanks a lot! 

05. New Warrior. 
Absolute salute before everybody who fights for our mother planet Earth. Hope you feel how big desperation and toughness they have. And don't forget: "Earth needs a new Warrior...It needs You!" :) 

06. Infinity. 
This tune dedicated for the creators of the great instrument TB-303. The electronic music can't be the same without it. 

07. High Lights.
Here I try to give back something for my beautiful and lovely wife Szilvia, who stands behind me every time and gives me the biggest gift in my life. My son. 

08. Eternity. 
Life after death? You believe in that? If not, try this song and maybe you change your mind. I think until we love each other everything just possible.

09. Feel The Morning.
I wanted to say a big thanks here for mr. Janos Liptak (SLP) who helped to make complete this song with some excellent melodies, vocal and guitar recordings. 

10. Tevedt Orak
Stray hours. This is what this song about. Based on Nimi's lyrics and singing. Many thanks for him again.

11. Break it Down. 
A lightweight thin summer breeze at the end with some vocal from me.

I also wanted to say a big thanks for my family members, friends and colleagues why they supported and believed my through this journey.

The omnipresent long pad sounds and dubbed out short melody 'teases' hold things together nicely. There’s a sensual female vocal sample that transforms the spiritual approach taken thus far into something more earthy, almost tantric like.

BIOGRAPHY:

Dynamic Illusion, also known as Daniel Gyarmati, was born in 1985 in Szombathely, Hungary. Music has been a part of his life since his childhood years. His father’s loves of music also infected him in his early years with his old vinyl classics like Kraftwerk and Jean Michell Jarre.

Daniel spent eight years honing his musical talent at a music conservatory, playing for the local orchestra. After getting his first PC at age 13, he began to discover the musical possibilities of the computer, composing his first pieces of music. At the same time, he became exposed to the DJ scene, attending parties and becoming influenced by the energetic tech sounds of Dave Clark, Chris Liebing, and Umek, as well as the progressive music of DJs like John Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seaman, and Max Graham.

Daniel’s musical obsession made him search his inner self for something unique. He was torn: he still loved the energy that techno gave him, but at the same time felt that the genre was regressing. He was in dire need of change and found his real love: progressive house. This was music where you could combine funk, drive, melodies, ass-shaking beats, and awkward sounds all in one, rather than using a single formula that he had grown tired of.

Nowadays he got more than 100 tracks released and many are feedbacked and played by the biggest names from the scene like Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Moshic, Quivver, Solarstone, Lemon8, Jaytech, Fernando Ferreyra, Michael & Levan, Faskil, Kintar and many more...

Besides his work as a producer, Daniel is also credited as being an excellent DJ. His sets these days are as diverse as his productions, blending progressive, breaks, and deep house into a very distinct and atmospheric sound. 

He has been featured with exclusive mixsets on every month, at Frisky Radio (Mindfields) where the intelligent dance music gets the leading part, with co-host Retroid. 

At 2012 he started his own record label called Deep Dive, that is focused for deep house music, and at 2013 the sublabel called Star Dive, wich is the place for he's progressive and break expressions.
