Fon.Leman, without a doubt, is the most prolific artist of the Russian label. To date his discography at Intricate Records counts 9 original productions and one remix, participation in 2012 summer sampler and the label’s debut mix CD «Intricate Sessions Compilation Vol. 01 Mixed by PROFF and Vadim Soloviev» and, finally, in 2013 special autumn sampler «Intricate Records is going to Amsterdam 2013», which was released during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event in late October. In turn, Fon.Leman’s remarkable productivity is directly-proportional to his achievements. Specifically his works reached highest positions amongst all singles released by Intricate Records in Beatport charts in categories «Trance» and «Progressive House».

A talented producer from the city of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Mazhaev, the man himself behind the alias «Fon.Leman», got over a thorny path from broken beat rhythms to uncompromising, hard techno grooves. During his musical career, Alexey devoted himself to a wide variety of experiments with sound, starting from street hip-hop and ending with the audio atmosphere of railway stations and noise background of construction plants. The latest, but definitely not least station where he stopped is the world of magical trance melodies and mystic depth of progressive house. Today, his tracks see the light of day on labels like Bomba Records and Silk Music, are often featured in podcasts by the big names of contemporary dance music industry like Jaytech, Dinka and Gareth Emery, and in top level radio shows including Trance Around The World, where the works of the Ural producer are supported by Above & Beyond themselves. One year ago Fon.Leman launched his own podcast, «Dimension & Perception», which has ten episodes so far.

Fon.Leman explains that the album title, «Constant Religion», reflects his vision and corresponds to his general creative concept. The main idea behind the longplay describes some solid essence which is present inside every one of us; one might call it faith, religion, energy of the Universe or God. Everyone instantly receives some amount of positive or negative information from this essence. For the Yekaterinburg-based musician Alexey Fon.Leman, music has always been this essence, this entity - something ephemeral but simultaneously giving faith that this world is getting a little better and many-sided with the birth of every new magical melody.

His key creative target in «Constant Religion», as Alexey Fon.Leman explains, was to show the diversity of the ideas while keeping the dancefloor-friendliness and congeniality of Alexey’s easily recognizable signature production style. Along with the thoughtful deepness of progressive and moving grooves, inside the album you will find pleasant melodies and tender vocal samples. The tracks are full of dynamic development and constant changes of mood: from funk-inspired moves in «Phoenix Rising» and «Califorman» to the artist’s favourite piano in «D Side», from the lyrics of lightweight spacious sounds and epicism in the main theme of the album, «Constant Religion», to the heavy, hammer-bouncing and pounding bass lines in «My Way» и «M3». Besides the solo works, the album includes three collaboration works by Fon.Leman and giants of modern melodic progressive, rhythmic funk and mystical trance: «Radiance» with Shingo Nakamura, «Dreamville» with Vadim Soloviev and «Miles Away» with Cramp. The release is scheduled in the form of a solid mix. As a special addition the listeners will be able to get the unmixed versions of Alexey’s two original productions, which are quite familiar to all Intricate followers: «Anaconda» and «Converted Universe».

Well everyone it's once again time to kick off your shoes and kick back to another lavish release from us here at Perplexity music, and wouldn't you know it, we have a superior collab from the likes of progressive legend Roald Velden and upcoming progressive wonder Morrison Kiers. These two both have a true talent for providing euphoric journeys fueled by lush melodies and harmonic pads, and this time around is no exception, as these two wonders have combined their lush styles and created a jaw-dropping new single titled Zonnewende.

Providing some superior talents in the remix department we have resident label artist Bee Hunter serving up some serious summery vibes with his signature beach laden sound, bringing some pumping chords and chuggy bass to the mix to give this original a bit more bounce.

We are also very delighted to showcase a remix from rising Canadian producer jav3x, who takes this original and gives it a nice injection of progressive power and drive, while maintaining a solid melodic approach that surely will cater to many progressive loving needs out there.

Last but in no way least we have the increasingly popular German producer Soundslogic, who without a doubt took all the beauty of this original and added a strong club worthy energy to the mix, thus supplying this release with the perfect finishing touch if we do say so ourselves. This past spring, we were delighted to present the debut Silk Music EP by acclaimed Iranian artist Masoud, featuring fellow Silk newcomer Tara Louise on vocals. Their beautiful vocal house collaborations, "My Dreams" and "Goodbye," have now been remixed by two extraordinary label veterans: Vintage & Morelli (Serbia) and meHiLove (Ukraine).

Vintage & Morelli is in the midst of a banner year, highlighted by his recent "My Rose Enchanted Destiny" album release, as well as a pair of releases on the esteemed Anjunabeats imprint. His inspired take reimagines "My Dreams" as a peak-hour progressive house anthem. A stormy and trance-influenced lead chord progression soars above a buoyant bassline, while a mellifluous Balearic guitar motif further enhances the soundscape. Meanwhile, Tara's vocal, the primary lead element, once again captivates the listener: her emotional delivery is only accentuated by Vintage & Morelli's exhilarating instrumentation. For those more inclined toward vocal-less electronica, Vintage & Morelli has contributed a "Dub Mix" as well.

meHiLove, acclaimed Silk veteran and former "Both" Remix Contest winner, centers his interpretation of "Goodbye" on a more traditional progressive house groove. As the track progresses, a variety of gorgeous melodic effects join Tara's memorable vocal. A relatively subdued breakdown showcases these many stunning themes, which are equal parts ethereal and cathartic. meHiLove has also provided a "Dub Mix" to round out the release.

Shingo Nakamura's recent contribution, "Always," proved to be a fan favorite of the first quarter of this year. In an effort to do justice to the Tokyo-based sensation's breathtaking single, we've recruited two beloved veterans on remix detail: Latvian duo Blood Groove & Kikis and Hungarian artist Aeron Aether.

Capable of composing a wide variety of electronic subgenres, Blood Groove & Kikis, in their glorious interpretation of "Always," have called upon disco-flavored melodic progressive house as their chosen medium of artistic expression. Mellifluous arpeggios and a celestial lead synth highlight a euphoric (if not hallucinogenic) intro. The layered themes build suspense, as the song makes its way to the main breakdown. At that juncture, we are finally treated to some of Shingo's original instrumental and vocal motifs, yet it's Blood Groove & Kikis' infectious and truly blissful themes that continue to steal the show. The song's final minutes offer a riveting climax for the dancefloor-inclined.

Continuing a comeback that began last year (courtesy of a standout remix of Mizar B's "Behind That Door"), Aeron Aether delivers an unforgettable take on "Always"; much to our delight, he employs a style that he is credited with helping to pioneer: progressive breaks. A cinematic, beat-less introduction evocatively sets the stage for the arrival of the rhythm, which is at once hard-hitting and graceful. Soon thereafter, a stunning variation on the lead melody cuts through the mix, while rousing strings patiently crescendo in the background. In the main break, Aether's rich soundscape, a veritable electronic symphony, prepares the listeners for the song's thrilling culmination.

Last week we went off to Buenos Aires, Argentina to headline the release and this week we are staying put in the capitol to bring more successful artist to the PHW Elements roster as we see the return on the label from our good friend Axel Bray aka Partenaire. 

With one original as well as a remix together with us in the past months we now see him back with another production, this one baptized as “Close Bond”. This one, giving us a whole to being proud of, as this has all the ingredients that we often seek at PHW Elements. With crisp percussion, tasty textures bringing on a plethora of sounds that give this track a subtle and dreamy atmosphere and then on top of that, a smooth melodic line that etches to your brain. This so well done and absolutely gorgeous to our ears. 

We are also proud to welcome back UK’s very own Dan Watts aka Fractal Architect to the label as it has been a while since we presented the outstanding work from him. Now he returns with a deep and moody retake, filled with cool grooves and textures to build something of his on on the original idea. This one is a number that will grow and grow the further you get into the production and we are as always thrilled to see Fractal Architect take charge. Super work as always Dan! 

Last out is a big finally for us as we delighted to start on a new friendship on the label, as we have the debut with us coming from a producer we always held high. We do talk about the great Jose Tabarez. Being a frontrunner on the scene for a long time and being very productive both with remixes and originals, we see this as a first step together. I used a city recording from freesoundproject.org for the city background and started building with a relaxed beatline and simple bass on about 110bpm. Added some mellow strings and a 80's sounding synth with a cool sounding spacey feel in the background. Like how it came together, hope you like it too!
