Trash Tunes Volume I

Teaming up with LA-based singer songwriter Joe Gil on ‘Until The End’, Dirty South creates an uplifting and optimistic dancefloor anthem perfectly timed for the summer. The shimmering melodic track smoothly blends chiming guitars and cool synths, which are combined with Gil’s emotive vocals over driving drums to create both a moving piece of songwriting and a powerful club track. The single will feature brand new remixes by Moda co-founder Tom Staar, fresh from his ‘After Dark’ collaboration with Style Of Eye, Phazing alumnus Michael Brun and Dirty South himself, with a full video on its way as well.

And in the summer of 2013, Orjan Nilsen finally hears their call. The #32 DJ in the world and Norwegian studio wizard proudly presents his second artist album. Balancing the power of instinct with the endless options of play, Orjan Nilsen brings us: 'No Saint Out Of Me'.

Including collaborations with Adam Young, Christina Novelli, Senadee, Jonathan Mendelsohn and Natalie Peris, as well as mind-blowing instrumentals, 'No Saint Out Of Me' moves. Two years in the making, it is the long-awaited successor to his first, the 2011 debut album 'In My Opinion'. As a true artist befits, he proceeded his musical journey. Stretching the boundaries of his own imagination, Ørjan Nilsen discovered many new identities to be part of his own. And so, he started an explore them. Ørjan:"I think it was about time I showed another side of myself, a side I've been wanting to unleash for quite some time now! I would say that 98% of the album can be played live, which is quite different from the last album I had."

What hasn't changed, is Ørjan's infinite blend of styles. Pushing trance, techno, electro, pop and house, 'No Saint Out Of Me' takes an open mind. Through the endless diversity of tracks like 'Knobtwister', 'Mafioso', vocal beauties 'In The Air', 'Hurricane', 'Apart', 'Hands' and title-track 'No Saint Out Of Me', it tells you a story of liveliness, growth and endless creativity. And that's exactly what Ørjan Nilsen is about.

Note about the Song: We actually first heard the song via Monsieur Adi’s Remix and thought it was awesome but were curious to hear the original, so we checked it out and loved Say Lou Lou's original but thought there was still room for a really upbeat version with our progressive indie flare (we hate the word flare). What really appealed to us about Say Lou Lou was they have this renegade softness, its sorta punk but not, that makes no sense right, but there is sort of care-free beautiful nature to there voices and we thought we could make a summer anthem with this baby, or die trying (side note: at no point were we close to death in the making of this remix) So we got the stems, and wanted to create something that really screams 'let me in I want to fucking dance, but I also brought my own beer.'  So here is how we did it:
