We have been repping at ADE for many years. On October 17th the label will be taking over Paradiso for a supreme showcase of forward-thinking beats and bass. Andy C, Calyx & Teebee, Wilkinson, June Miller, Loadstar and Delta Heavy will be demonstrating their skills and the label have put together a very special album to celebrate… 
‘RAMsterdam Drum & Bass 2013’ is a journey into the darker, moodier psyche of Ram. An exploration of the label’s extensiive repertoire, each track has been cherry-picked to complement the hectic, late night hedonism you’ll experience during ADE’s night schedule. 13 hallmark, agenda-setting tracks dating from as far back as 1996 plus two killer exclusives that you will not find anywhere else, ‘RAMsterdam Drum & Bass 2013’ is a crucial celebration of the industry’s most effective music conference.

Amid unarguable genre-defining classics such as Shimon & Andy C’s oft-referenced, never-bettered ‘Quest’, Fresh’s ‘Signal’, Noisia’s ‘Deception’ and Sub Focus’s ‘Let The Story Begin’, the album is saturated in upfront 2013 shock-outs from the most exciting, respected artists in drum & bass: Hamilton’s speaker-shredding ‘F**K It Up’, Loadstar’s staccato spine-melter ‘Warrior’, DC Breaks’ rush-raged ‘Shaman’, June Miller’s icy scorcher ‘Change’ and Mind Vortex’s planet aligning ‘Arc VIP’. Steo may well be one of the best singers we have in the game right now. His falsetto glides over rugged plains on My Tearz. His range is wide and the level of soul he brings to a track is unmatched. The beat is a slight departure for Lenzman in that beauty is put on the shelf and grimy is the order of the day with midrange bass and stepping drums working out against Steo’s vocals.

Featured on the second sampler for Lenzman's début LP 'Looking At The Stars'. A rolling string laden affair with housey bass accenting proceedings well, reversed loops make for a great soundscape backdrop whilst the vocal sample gives a warm edge to the track.



Lenzman - Lazy Dub

Across June 2014 Lenzman launches his début album ‘Looking At The Stars’ on the seminal London-based imprint Metalheadz.

The début album ‘Looking At The Stars’ arrives with all the aplomb you would expect from the Dutch producer. He has taken time over this project and the results reflect this. The long player solidifies the Lenzman sound you have come to love and edges it forward into new realms of production and style.

With vocals courtesy of Manchester’s finest MC DRS, mixing his unique ability to rap and sing to great effect. DRS concerns himself with the topic of no more bullsh*t in his pursuit of creation and as the song says he ‘Just can’t take no more’ Lenzman weaves a great instrumental for DRS to animate with subtle keys and musicality illuminating the beat.
