How much of our 'desires' are real, and how much are we controlled? In this peak consumerist culture, is what we desire really genuine, or are malign forces driving us ever further towards their goals?

'Controlled Desires' continues a new VA trilogy series for Codename: RCRDS, with several newcomers joining the party for part II.

The EP commences with the hardest working man in mastering, Nurve, bringing the heat with 'Faded Glamour', a tearing dancefloor banger which should find homes in plenty of sets. Ahead of his first full release on the label, Indigo Virus delivers an epic slice of hazy jungle with 'Things Change', before Data B ably demonstrates his beat swordmanship with the dark rolling shaolin number 'Rumble'. The EP draws to a close with another debutant, Joey Del Toro slamming into focus with the amen tearer 'Play That'.
