This mixtape was inspired by the experience of arriving to the Jordan desert in the deep night, by the perturbing sensation of suddenly finding oneself facing something startling, mighty, unpreditable, unforeseeable and, at the same, strangely familiar, calming and seductive. 

A dj set to walk in powerful natures. To stroll along spatial, temporal or experiential places which we had craved, but which we had never given ourselves permission to arrive to, until now. 

A dj set to jump head first into the darknesses of our very existence. To sit near them and hug them.

Mixtape #2: "Dark Encounter with Nature"

“I’d be rather part of a community led by doers than of one led by talkers” (my own take on an idea by Nassim Taleb) 

Thismixtape was inspired by and for the project Valkiria Alternative Club, a series of techno music events led by FranZ NaYa.

When just sketching the set, I went to the sources (aka Wikipedia) to understand that Valkyrie's mission was to collect those fallen in battle and take them to an afterlife. And that already resonated with the energy I got from this project, and which I wanted to express on this set.

We sometimes just moan about what life lacks, while others just act and intend to craft it, puting their name and accountability on it. A healthy inspiration for those, for us, when we feel fallen, to keep pursuing what we believe in, that afterlife.

May these tunes lift you up and dance yourself to the other side!

Efedro nos trae una postal sonora, una postal dibujada, fantasiosa, del viaje musical al que le lleva Mallorca y las Baleares, su viaje personal: un viaje al corazón del Mediterráneo, a ese estado mental y esa forma de vivir que las palabras no pueden alcanzar a describir, a pesar de tantos y tantos intentos. Espacios, amplitudes físicas y emocionales, que permiten sentir, escuchar todos los armónicos de la vida. Paisajes con profundidad para perderse, espacios que dejan resonar ecos familiares. Guitarras sensuales, amor y pasiones, mujeres con carácter, pieles en sintonía con el sol y el aire. Noches frescas de verano con aire a verbena. Tradiciones, sonidos que se hunden en los tiempos y se expanden a y desde el otro lado del mar. 
Y es que a veces es divertido dejarse llevar de viaje, viajes para los que no hay que tomar medio de transporte alguno.
