Francesco Tamburrano is a Venice based producer who focuses dub techno sounds with bass lines borrowed from techno and deep house to build a “melting Electronic”: sometimes hypnotic, sometimes raw, sometimes groovy. His first EP ‘Soft’ released earlier this year on ECOUL SND label, he’s now working on follow up releases. This mix features some of the current tracks released on the Techenie label. More music from Francesco is expected this year on the [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] label.

Biography:
Emesh is the project of Antonio Muñoz where he unleashes his creativity in the music production of different genres: electronic, ambient, slow trance, idm. He comes from the beautiful region of La Alcarria in Spain. Since 2013 on Sendero Records, he has been delivering a quite diverse range of sound to the listener, sometimes danceable, sometimes calming, more metallic, more organic, and always inspiring. Antonio is both, a musician and therapist. His musical influences owe much to the pop and electronics of the 80s when he started working as resident Dj at Deadly club in Brihuega (Guadalajara-Spain) about 9 years. 
His talent has been recognized on a global stage, with his track featured at the London Music Conference in 2020 playing a set at fabric@london. This global recognition is a testament to his skill and creativity. Currently, he's immersed in his studio, Elul, recently completing an indie electronic EP with Miss Zagato, and recent releases on [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], Blue Lotus and Something Spæcial label. Stay tuned for his latest creations.

Patrick Russell is a true veteran of the US underground, perhaps one of the last unsung heroes of a now lost era in the Midwest. A genuine sonic storyteller, he magically transforms the diaspora of acid, pure jack energy, and hints of IDM into a deep, fluent sonic dialog that never fails to devastate both minds and dance floor.

A Detroit-bred DJ, artist, and producer active since the early 90's, Patrick has now made New York City his home. Perhaps best known as a key figure in the legendary No Way Back parties, his ability to weave intensely unique, long-format narratives has earned him critical acclaim and repeat performances at Japan’s Labyrinth festival, Berghain, Unsound, and DEMF/Movement. Patrick has also been steadily building a strong catalog of high-profile productions to compliment his increasingly varied, hypnotic, and in-demand DJ sets; his recent 3-track remix EP on The Bunker New York also marks his induction as an official resident DJ at the long-running Brooklyn party.

His consummate taste and disciplined execution have created a respect that cannot be purchased. Patrick Russell is not just a name to watch, he is someone to be experienced.

Artist: Pedro Capelossi [Refraction Rec / Seven Villas / OHM Series]

For our 9th mix of The Frontier series we welcome Brazilian born, Barcelona based, Refraction Records commander in chief - Pedro Capelossi.

Over the last decade Pedro has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.  

Pedro is best known for his releases on Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas label. This distinctive label is one which cant be tied down to one particular sound, but tends to float between all things Dub House / Dub Techno / Deep House.

  In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives.

  For this Frontier mix Pedro has presented a beautifully compiled selection with his signature sound, deep, dubby, atmospheric and emotive throughout. It features a lot of music from Refraction records, with a lot of unreleased forthcoming music. Its a joy to listen to and one we'll be going back to again and again.

From a young age, she began to break free from conservative structures through art and music. Her goal was to embrace rebellious creativity and create spaces for intercultural exchange.

For Emmi, the music scene is not only a safe space to express her emotions but also a social environment that connects parties, subcultures, and artists.

Since she started producing music and exploring the world of synthesizers in 2019, it has brought her joy and opened up new perspectives in her life.

Alejandro Romero dived into electronic music at the age of fourteen. He enjoyed listening to a wide spectrum of styles within the genre. His passion for mysterious and deep records increased with the years, going from the common to the most unusual kind of beats. His first attempt to expose his productions was under his own name and he kindly received feedback and likes from labels like Futurepast, Honne Music, Todd Nerdy, WhatNowBecomes and a few more from around the globe. After this success he decided to pursue a career in the Latin American scene with a new moniker called 'Amalgama'. This moniker had the intention to release non-binary music in which he pulled out records on labels like Halcxn, Cavilar, Organic Records, Ruem Trax, Impresión and his own label Overlap Records. The project highlight is a four track vinyl release in the Berlin based label 'System Error'. At the same time Alejandro had the necessity to explore downtempo and ambient realms. He discovered a whole new scene thanks to the attention of webzines like Delayed and Inverted Audio who premiered tracks from his past releases. With this support he launched 'Ópalo', an alias created to expose his taste for experimental downtempo and idm music. His first release under this moniker was an seven track album called 'La Edad Invisible' which was released in Caracteres, a sub label of Overlap Records created for ambient and electronica.

Alejandro future projects include an alias called Quantum, a moniker that compiles his past works that where not considered by records labels. He discovered this music was unique and special. Part of the project is to expose his taste for abstract art made by him with oil on paper. In the present he's still curating the boutique label Overlap Records and his sub label Caracteres.

TM Shuffle is more than just a name in the international dub techno scene. The Finnish producer, DJ, and head of VUO Records has a rare talent for distilling the essence of depth, space, and rhythm into his productions. His music is infused with a hypnotic pulse that doesn’t shout loudly but tells stories subtly – of snow-covered landscapes, quiet nights, and an unwavering love for electronic music. What sets TM Shuffle apart is his uncompromising dedication to reduction. His musical philosophy is not about quantity but quality: less is more. By deliberately limiting himself, he becomes more creative – digging deep, searching intentionally for the right sound, and developing a distinct musical signature. This principle is evident not only in his productions but also in his thoughtfully crafted, driving DJ sets.

In a personal conversation with Andre Kronert, TM Shuffle offers insight into his creative workflow and studio philosophy. The Poeticast goes deep this week with a dub drenched Guest Mix from French starlet Nems-B.

Born in Aix-en-Provence, Nahim Bendjilali alias Nems-B, is an artist on everyone's radar in Europe and beyond this summer. He is a very approachable person, always smiling, laughing and speaking French with the unique and distinctive accent of Marseille. Former DJ within the collectives WE ARE and Kick'N'Fat, he then joined Phonons, a non-profit organization that supports sound artists by providing spaces for expression. Today, Nahim is one of the executive managers of the collective, which expresses a specific taste for label ESHU’s music. Eager for new experiences, Nahim then created Deepness Road, a collective whose concept is to book artists for their music and the message they spread rather than for their charisma and fame.

In 2015 Nahim started a residency at the radio station C.C.R. He also plans to launch his own label very soon. With the close relations he maintains to artists such as Edouardo De La Calle, XDB, Fred P, Steven Tang and DJ Qu, we can expect some quality music from his upcoming projects. It's for his music selection, his accurate DJ skills with 15 years background, and his positive values, that Nahim was one of the first names which came-up when creating LLN’s roster.


Nems-B regularly plays in France where he is well respected. He has perfore in clubs like Glazart, Le Batofar and La Java (Paris), Le Boutleg (Bordeaux) and Terminal (Lyon). He also makes regular appearences at One Again Club, Baby Club and Les Jardins Suspendus (Marseille) , a major party on a rooftop that faces the Mediterraneen see. In the South of France he also played at Smarties Bar (Nice) and the infamous Spartacus Club (Aix-en Provence). Nahim also spun records in festivals Audiphonix (FR), TLN (FR) and Believe Festival (Marseille) where he was also the Art Director and invited artists to play alongside him like Moodyman, Borderland (Moritz von Oswald & Juan Atkins), Mathew Jonson, Ben UFO, Jeff Mills.


Last year Nems-B moved up a notch with gigs at Silencio (Geneva) as well as at 60 Hz and the legendary Tresor club (Berlin) .

Hydrangea is a French deep techno producer inspired by nature and its surroundings. Her career as an artist began in 2014 when she released her first full-length album Dawn Lights under the Annulled label.
Influenced by the hypnotic Italian techno and ambient electronica, Hydrangea began creating her own tracks with the prospect of sharing her story and perspective through music.
In the same year, she followed up her debut with Escape From Reality, a nine-track self-released album. In addition to her albums, she has also released a variety of EPs such her latest one on Natch Records, Osmosis. Besides her work as a techno producer, she also works as a graphic designer and photographer under the aliases “Horty Shorter/Aegna Hyrd” through which she regulates the artwork for various music releases and graphic art projects. She’s also taking care of the artworks for the podcast channel, Inveins.

Next episode of our podcast series is currated by Hydrangea. She got our attention since her very beginings just few years ago. The music she creates doesn't rush on tempo, so she can carefully make a tour in between the flowing soundscapes and dreamy pads. Since her birth she always was tightly connected with nature, which is her inexhaustible source of inspiration. Even though it is not a long while since the day she started to put out material, she gained respect of numerous members of the ongoing scene of deep techno and relased music on labels such as Silent Season, Annulled or the most recent Natch Elements.
Roots of our friendship are bringing us back to the year 2017, when she performed together with Milena Kriegs (Milena Glowacka) and Inner Shapes on party organized by our collective.
