The Late Ones was founded in the summer of 2012, built on a foundation of roots reggae with influences from the oldies, alternative, rock, jazz, blues, R&B, and hip hop. This fusion of music created the unique “L81Z” sound. The L81Z vibe does not encompass any particular genre or target any one demographic. Their unique sound is accompanied with a message that is spiritual, biblical, and relevant to share with the entire world, especially the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow.
 
The Late Ones name was derived as an homage to all the late and great revolutionaries who have come and gone before us such as Bob Marley, Tupac, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Biko, and John Lennon. It is the fusion of their story, struggle, and message that inspire them. It is intertwined with The Late Ones' own story, struggle, and their love of all genres of music. The L81Z uses their influence as an inspiration to motivate, lead those who need to be led, and to burn down Babylon.

Seattle, Washington-born reggae songwriter and performer, now residing and recording in Los Angeles. His story and sound are like no one else's!

Bobby was first exposed to Jamaican-style music in middle school when he became fascinated by the island rhythms being re-purposed by third wave ska bands like Sublime, Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish. His adolescent interest in that sound eventually led him straight to the source and he quickly discovered that Jamaica had a lot more to offer than just ska. He began to explore reggae crafted by Jamaican artists who were popular at the end of the 90s – artists like Anthony B, Capleton, and Sizzla – and he quickly became obsessed. He scoured the Emerald City for any reggae record he could get his hands on, hoping to soak up as much Jamaican music, dialect, and culture as he could.

In 2010, Bobby Hustle began voicing reggae productions and, true to his name, he has worked industriously for labels from all over the world. In addition to his home camp, Loud City Music, he has written and recorded songs for many prominent outfits like the bicoastal American crew, Lustre Kings Productions, and German super-group, Jugglerz Records. Since his debut EP, Always On The Hustle, in 2011, Bobby has released five mixtapes, five more EPs and a full length album, It’s The Hustle. In his thirteen year career, Bobby Hustle has contributed songs to over 60 different riddim releases and collaborated with some of the best reggae artists in the world, including the iconic Sizzla Kalonji, prolific artists like Lutan Fyah, Mikey General, Cali P, Collie Buddz, The Movement, Josh Heinrichs and Skillinjah.

All of Bobby’s hard work has given him exposure, and he has built a following from all over the world. Bobby’s music has taken him to places like Japan, Russia, Germany and Italy. He has performed opening duties for crucial reggae artists like Gappy Ranks, Konshens, Protoje, Mr. Vegas and Third World just to name a few. But his success has not come without obstacles, most notably, a two year stay in Costa Rica beginning in 2016, where Bobby awaited trial for a drug trafficking charge that resulted from a misunderstanding while he was on tour. Determined to fight the charge, he refused to accept a plea deal that would have given him a lighter sentence. Bobby knew he was innocent and decided that he would do everything in his power to keep his freedom. After 22 months there, he was found not guilty of all charges and he was able to return to his friends and family in Seattle in December of 2017.

After his return to the US in 2018, Bobby relocated to Los Angeles. His EP, Wolaba Vibes: The Costa Rica Sessions, a collection of songs he recorded while in Costa Rica, came out in May 2019. In December 2019, he renewed his passport and performed two shows in Israel, making his first trip abroad since his trial in Costa Rica. Little did he know, just a few months later he'd be stuck in one place again...

Lockdown didn't stop him. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, Hustle dropped 19 songs including, “As Good As It Seems”. The song was featured on Spotify’s editorial playlist “Sunshine Reggae”, now with over 2.5 million streams on the platform. In 2021, Bobby continued his pattern of frequent releases by offering up two EPs, Side Hustle and The Right Place, as well as a host of singles.

2022 brought new opportunities for the Hustle. Just as live show restrictions began to lift in Southern California, Bobby started his new band and throughout the latter half of the year, they began to perform regularly throughout the region.

Since the Covid restrictions have now officially been lifted, Bobby Hustle is getting back on the road nationally and internationally. Whether he performs with his backing band or with his DJ, Yungg Trip, one thing for certain is Bobby's undeniable stage presence and his love for the craft of entertaining. Accredited Producer and Roots Reggae artist, E.N Young has produced over 800 songs out of his own Imperial Sound Recording Studio in San Diego, California. This includes his own albums, the latest being Forest Wilderness which exemplifies his ability to manufacture novel sound in a relatively niche genre. 

E.N Young has been a frontline soldier for Reggae music his entire life, joining world music band Stranger in 2002 after having an eclectically musical childhood. After four studio albums, E.N dove into his solo career, rendering his first album Luck & Chance No More under his own Roots Musician Label by 2010. Roots Musician Records, as well as E.N Young’s Imperial Sound Recording Studio, has become a mecca for roots reggae artists ever since. As for production credits, E.N Young has worked with current headlining acts, like Pepper, Rebelution, Stick Figure, Slightly Stoopid, Trevor Hall, Million Stylez, Sizzla, Lutan Fyah, Don Carlos  and beyond.

Jamar Rolando McNaughton, using the moniker Chronixx, has ignited a torch in people's hearts the world over and is confidently lighting the path for an entire generation of youths to rediscover roots and culture.

Born October 10, 1992, Chronixx was musically nurtured from an early age by his father, the artist Chronicle, and grew up surrounded by the likes of Burro Banton, Norris Man and Gregory Isaacs. This was before 'Little Chronicle' benefited from the mentorship of Danny Browne with whom he recorded his first tune in 2003. His remarkable ascension in the music industry was in full effect when he began harmonizing for artists such as Lutan Fyah and providing production assistance for tracks sung by Konshens, Munga Honorable, Popcaan and others.

Today, Chronixx is a respected artist in his own right after his career was stimulated by the unfortunate passing of both his blood brother in 2007 and his brother-in-arms, Lil' J.O.E., in 2010. He decided during that period of grief to bypass the difficulties of a young producer seeking external talent by, instead, channeling his energy wholeheartedly as a vocalist. Thankfully, early and unwavering support was received from Zincfence Records producer Romaine 'Teflon' Arnett, who was the first to urge Chronixx to sing the lyrics he was writing for others.

The first EP, Hooked on Chronixx, was released in 2010 and immediately put the budding artist on the radar of music lovers and industry heads alike. Among its 7 tracks, 'Start A Fyah,' 'Capitalist' (featuring Infinite) and 'Behind Curtain' stood out as a fan favorites, reaching far beyond Jamaican shores. Meanwhile, 'Warrior' became Chronixx's first official video and served to alert many more to his arrival.

Chronixx toured for the first time in 2013 when he went to Europe with his own band. Soon afterward, he bestowed a name upon this carefully assembled musical crew: Zincfence Redemption. Altogether, their fascinating stage presence has elevated the Chronixx experience to new and ever increasing heights.

Also in 2013, he and his team were Jamaica's only representation in Nairobi, where he performed as a Peace Ambassador ahead of Kenya's general elections. The next year, he found himself in New York City where he participated in a reggae and jazz series together with living legends Ernest Ranglin and Monty Alexander. By this time, Chronixx had established new and renewed working connections with Sly & Robbie, King Jammy, Leroy Sibbles and, again, Danny Browne.

The Dread & Terrible Project was released in April 2014 with seven tracks plus three dub versions, immediately topping both the Billboard and iTunes reggae charts. Neither an album nor an EP, the Project also includes a short film based on one of its tracks, 'Rastaman Wheel Out.' The film was directed by "The Guru" Ras Kassa and has received high critical acclaim. The hit single, 'Here Comes Trouble' can also be found on The Dread & Terrible Project.

With so much accomplished in so short a time, the world is bracing for greater wonders from this young man who walks with an old soul. For Chronixx himself, music is a mission and history is being made everyday still.
