AorMos began as a DJ when he was 15 years of age and enjoyed playing electronic music more than two decades. In the beginning he was playing with the nearest sounds to the scene of House, to give a jump to Minimal at the end of 2000. 

And that year he got interested all the slopes of Techno, from its purer roots, spinning the more melodic vibes, deep sounds, and progressive aspects and looking always at producers and record labels that offer great quality in their productions.

In his DJ sets AorMos likes to realize the very supported and elegant mixtures of the tracks, and that the whole set has going and return of emotions, and that the energy does not decline in the session. And this way to be able to transmit a good trip of emotions.

Formel is a Leiden based duo composed of Tom Noah and Bas van der Laken.

While Bas produced progressive music for many years, Tom made fame as a techhouse dj. Combining sounds by using plain techno beats, raw bass lines and a hint of jazz, makes the sound that is typical Formel. The sounds of Formel are a beautiful journey through a deep and colorful palette with a wide and varied worldly feel. Organic and melodic with a perfectly fitting balance between dancing and listening; Formel comes up with a refreshing and exciting sound you haven’t quite heard yet.

Formel debuted in 2013 on Daniel Sanchez’ ‘Bla Bla Records’ with their first full length album of nine tracks ‘Entzun’. Their follow up was their EP Kolyma on Berlins Einmusiks’ ‘Einmusika Recordings’ in May 2014. Formel can be booked both as live or DJ set. Live you can expect the deep, grooving and danceable sounds of Formel. While Tom performs as DJ, expect an extra pinch of power, to get the dancefloor moving.

This week we welcome a true pioneer of contemporary electronic music. Equally at home producing lush downtempo tracks as he is crafting slamming house grooves. From London....

Bio:

There are points in every artist's musical journey that highlight a sea change or a shift in consciousness. The ﬁrst of those moments for Roberto Sodano was the time he saw Kraftwerk as a spotty teen with dodgy 80’s haircut. Their machine funk sound completely captivated him and his love of all things electronic began. Born in Wales to Italian parents, the ’Tafﬁa’ as they were affectionately known, finally relocated to London after stints all over the UK and Central Europe.

Growing up in a bleak post-industrial city drove Roberto’s need to escape through all manner of musical discovery: experience borne out in his esoteric musical inﬂuences of 80s and 90s shoegaze, from bands such as Ride, MBV and the Cocteau Twins through to synth pioneers including the aforementioned Kraftwerk and a pre-Dare Human League.

“Music has always been there for me. It’s a friend that doesn’t judge you, a comfort blanket and a kick up the arse when you need it.”

Choosing to make music as much as become a DJ, Roberto released tracks under a range of pseudonyms before ﬁnally settling on his current nom-de-plume ‘Audioglider’. 

His big break came with the licensing of two tracks under the new project name – Whiskers and Zusammenallein – for Nick Warren’s Global Underground CD, GU30 Paris. 

“These were my ﬁrst ofﬁcial releases as Audioglider, it’s all been downhill from there!” he quips, as he’s now held in high regard by an army of fans and industry insiders alike.

A master of both uptempo club tracks and more winsome downtempo fayre, he cites inﬂuences as wide ranging as Ulrich Schnauss, Massive Attack and School of Seven Bells for his more cerebral back catalogue additions which includes four albums for Tripswitch’s Section Records – two solo - Accidental Beauty and Subaquamarine and two with music maven Xspance - Kollision and Sensory Reception.

Referencing his inﬂuences can be heard as echoes on everything that Roberto does, while at the same time, they glisten in their own unique light. Translucent in sound.

Depth Perception Sessions #15 - Audioglider

2020 has come to an end and so is our Podcast Series. Closing the list, we have a true electronic music pioneer in our home town, Steve PD. As an original member of the Pastilla Digital crew, Steve built his reputation as a top-notch DJ by putting together great opening and closing sets, and this time was no exception.  In this session, the Hardpop Club ex-resident made sure to include a variety of sounds and textures going from Indie Dance to House and Techno. Enjoy the journey!!
