Asto is the meeting of live performed IDM electronic music and occult animist rhythms from the Afro-Cuban community of La Habana.

The project is the result of 7 years in Cuba dedicated to the learning of mystic Afro-Cuban rhythms, made possible by the meeting of Asto with the family called “Los Chinitos”, who trained him to perform the sacred Bata drums in animist Yoruba ceremonies, where the oracles impart their message, the black and white magic are practiced and the initiated are possessed by dancing gods.

This LA Based Artist,  a favorite in his home, Motown City, has a track record exceeding 15 years of recording, performing and producing. Working with engineering and recording legends, Eric Schilling, Eric Reichers and Eric Wojan, across the states, featuring recording in Miami, Dallas, New York, Detroit and Los Angeles. Soulfull vocals showcasing 15 years of vocal training, vocal coaches Wendall Bloom, Monte Long, Coreen Shaheen, Carol Rogers, Stevie Vann Lange, and Rosemary Butler, have helped refine this naturally gifted vocalist. 
Writing and recording a freshman album at the age of 15, performing across the nation, collaborating with songwriters and musicians for television and film placements and attending Musicians Institute in Hollywood California, HippieSoulChild has proved to have the talent and stamina to take the entertainment industry by storm.
