HUNT the TRUTH is a fictional investigative audio series set in the universe of HALO. Starting just before the events of HALO 5: Guardians, season one of HUNT the TRUTH follows journalist Benjamin Giraud (Keegan-Michael Key) as he investigates the story behind the Master Chief, humanity’s greatest and most mysterious hero. As inconsistencies in the story emerge, Ben is faced with toeing the government line or cutting rank and breaking the conspiracy wide open. The second season picks up with rebel leader, FERO (Janina Gavankar). As FERO is forced to confront ghosts from her past, something far more sinister begins to stir in the outer colonies. HUNT the TRUTH is presented by XBOX and 343 Industries, makers of HALO 5: Guardians.

The Toronto-based trio comprised of vocal powerhouse and guitarist Joan Smith (White Cowbell Oklahoma), monster keyboardist Jeff Heisholt (The Trews, Skydiggers, Peter Elkas Band), and rock solid drummer Gavin Maguire (Dearly Beloved, Peter Elkas Band, Parlour Brothers) are ready to unleash their new 5 song EP ‘Woman’. “Once we got the arrangements down I just put microphones on these guys and let them do their thing. They’re such great players – it was easy to produce them.” says “Woman” producer Colin MacDonald.
Songs from 2011’s Ian Blurton produced ‘Oh, Hell’, and 2009’s ‘Harsh Words’ found their place in the pop culture zeitgeist, including placements in the end credits and soundtrack album of Netflix’s ‘Orange is the New Black’, Degrassi, the Eva Mendes film ‘Girl in Progress’, and the Will Arnett NBC sitcom ‘Up All Night’.
Upon winning Indie Week’s Studio Competition, LFLF enlisted MacDonald’s production skills and Adrian Popovich’s (Sam Roberts, Priestess, Tricky Woo) mixing wizardry to hone their songs to a sharp, explosive, hook-filled point. Their new single ‘Woman’ begins with haunting layered female vocals, quickly followed by a fist pumping verse which pays off with an infectious, soaring chorus, featuring MacDonald on vocal backups.

Now in its 34th year, Canadian Music Week is recognized as one of the premier entertainment events in North America focusing on the business of music. We bring together Sound Recording, New Media and Broadcast for one spectacular week of events… Combining informative, intensive conferences, a cutting edge trade exhibition, award shows, film festival, comedy festival and Canada’s biggest New Music Festival. The Canadian Music Week festival spans 5 nights of performances, with 1,000 showcasing bands at more than 60 live music venues in downtown Toronto. Toronto, Canada's high-energy, modern thrash monsters Fatality have been cranking out beer-drenched nightmares together since 2003. Known for their wild, riotous live peformances and their peerless work ethic, they have been independently booking and promoting their own shows, creating great merch, touring North America, and making some great tunes along the way. Their debut, Beers From The Graves, was an irreverent and horror-themed album that eschewed seriousness in favour of hard living and good times. After supporting that record with North American tours, and being invited to share the stage with the likes of Municipal Waste, Razor, Exodus and Evile, Fatality are gearing up to unleash their sophomore album on their adoring public.

Their new record is at once a darker and more mature effort, with more complex arrangements and sophisticated concepts, that still retains their trademark energy and commitment to drunken mayhem. Set to be released in mid-2013, their new album is an exploration of the inner landscape of the mind, where addled thoughts and horror-polluted dreams are held up to musical scrutiny. Monstrous, ambitious, and sardonically funny as ever, Fatality are taking their unique sound and boundless energy to the next level.
