One of Berlin's most impactful artists, Silvia Jiménez Alvarez aka JASSS (@jass-29) is a Berlin-based sound artist, producer and DJ born and raised in Asturias in northern Spain, she continually disrupts continually disrupts the conventions of electronic dance music. Rooted in heavy bass, she flawlessly combines elements of techno, electro, DnB, pop samples, tribal rhythms, and folk melodies, developing an offbeat musical language with a mysterious cult film vibe. As a resident member of Berghain's Säule and Herrensauna, her precise control over the nighttime atmosphere is undeniable. Her sensory stimulation is intense, ranging from fast to slow, light to dark, with tightly packed, highly impactful climaxes. The bright metallic sounds draw listeners in irresistibly, leaving them entranced until the set is over.

Her album "A World Of Service," released under Ostgut Ton, sits at the intersection of abstract electronics and baroque industrial pop. Her bold and effortless approach stems from her experiences with mental illness, exploring fragmented and disintegrating sounds and vocals. Through lyrics and music, she deconstructs the self, revealing dimensions of life amidst chaotic forms and tumultuous thoughts, like a dark and lavish drama. Two tracks featured in the highly acclaimed Whities series from the AD 93 label are said to be inspired by her formative years during the rave era. These tracks sound both retro and futuristic, deadly in every second, and effortlessly sweep across major dance floors.
