Vanessa is among one of the rare female artists on the electronic scene in Mauritius. 
She finished her DJ course in 2017 & really quickly got noticed by local event managers for her explicit taste of techno music. She’s always there when big international acts perform in Mauritius, she featured on some supporting line ups; thus had the chance to see all those djs performing from the DJ booth and this leads to learning lots of things that could help her on the journey. Slowly but surely becoming one of the most appreciated dj on the island.

Playing since November 2017, she was chosen to support all these amazing international acts, such as Guy J, Ben Bohmer, Lampe, Carbon and many more. She has been warming up for Deborah de Luca, Metodi Hristov, Khen, Kohra…. and recently went to play in Reunion island. She can easily adapt to different parties & crowd since she masters lots of styles namely; deep & groovy music and also dark, detroit techno and psytech. She loves mixing up different styles giving an unexpected great combo. Definetly an act to watch!

Jean Michel Rey is the entertainment manager, sound engineer and music producer at Long Beach, the newest of hotels in Mauritius distinguished by the unique architecture and mix of contemporary and urban style. Jean Michel, a young Mauritian connoisseur, completes Long Beach’s chic concept by creating a Long Beach brand of lounge house/electro music and entertainment that will be sure to entice the sophisticated ear. This international 5 star hotel is the perfect venue for Jean Michel to showcase his creative talent and add an extra thrill to the Long Beach experience.

His work is his passion. Starting his musical career at just 13 years old, Jean Michel Rey began with percussion, jazz and fusion sounds that significantly influence the music he produces today. Jean Michel’s sound is innovative and he is confident that Long Beach will attract new clientele with its original modern vibe, “I want to take Long Beach and turn it into an international hotel for music for a new generation” explains Jean Michel. He is able to illustrate his talent and passion to the world through this one-of-a-kind hotel and to bring a unique label of music that no other hotel in Mauritius has. 

With Jean Michel integrating his own cosmopolitan style and the Mauritian relaxed lifestyle he will be able to bring to life the trendy edge of the vibrant Long Beach Hotel. He also contributes his knowledge from the opportunities he has had from playing and producing at world acclaimed music venues. “I have worked in all areas and genres of music and I am eager to give our clients an alternative experience in Long Beach that they will never forget,” says Jean Michel. He is also responsible for all of the night entertainment, which includes the Bombora nightclub and all of the shows. He has grasped the Long Beach philosophy and turned it into something tangible by hiring performers such as contemporary jazz dancers and electro dancers.

Jean Michel has also studied at the world’s biggest audio visual and sound engineering school, SAE Paris Institute, and has already produced one album called “My Way To Life.” His technical expertise in creating a musical atmosphere is extensive and when he was just 15 he began home studio recording and produced music for DJs from countries. He has also been part of the organization of some of the biggest parties and music festivals as well as opening his own bar Shivana Lounge. As a perfectionist when developing sound and his familiarity with the entertainment Industry, Jean Michel will be able to materialize the Long Beach exquisite environment by creating a fresh energy. He is producing a new album which will be released in December and provide clients the complete Long Beach package. “I want people to feel free and easy at Long Beach; from the enjoyment of enticing dance performances to the most subtle touches like the background music, their retreat will have that special extra element” adds Jean Michel.
