“I Got It Bad (and That Ain’t Good)” was composed by Duke Ellington and Paul Francis Webster in 1941. It has been recorded by many outstanding singers and instrumentalists, ranging from Louis Armstrong to Carly Simon. The list includes Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Ben Webster, Nina Simone, Thelonious Monk and, of course, Duke Ellington himself.

The music was composed by Victor Young and Ned Washington. The song was introduced in the 1949 film of the same name. It has been recorded by many great artists including, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Astrud Gilberto, Mel Tormé, Oscar Peterson, Billy Eckstine, Bill Evans, and Keith Jarrett.
