We're happy to welcome the debut EP from @biota_official

BIOTA represents the symbiotic coexistence of flora & fauna, bridging ancient & modern, utilizing contrast to create colorful diversity. 
Their journey is exploration of sound and movement, driven by aesthetics of sound art, cinematic atmosphere, psychedelia and the gritty roots of blues and rock&roll.

In Sistema Organico, the Israelian duo Roman Galperin & Moses Chimen deliver a variety of sonic textures, from spacey feedback guitars through tasty analog synths, forest flutes, traditional percussion, shamanic vibes and more delights - all composed into musical moods to dive into.

The whole piece is inspired by the meditative depths of the natural world, a tribute to the forest, the jungle, the great rivers and thoughts about our relationship with them as human beings.

After few years exploring different paths, his journey as Arnwa took shape in 2016, where he started creating music as well as video-art with sociopolitical content. Understanding the waves as a channel to transmit ineffable languages, the music of Arnwa mixes different instruments with nature sounds creating ethereal storytellings. Always aiming for an equipoise between digital audio and organic sounds, among mundane and spiritual life. Fighting the dualism and thus, capitalism system with art as a weapon.

100 years ago the world lived in chaos. Huge wars between humans, as well as great advances in technology that changed forever the face of the world, a world that according to many artists, lived as a prisoner of the rational mind and that did not allow us humans to understand life and the Universe in its wide spectrum.

This is how, with its mystical origin in Dadaism, Surrealism was born. A movement that sought to explore and venture into the limits of the human mind through art. Initially literature, but also reaching the visual arts and so much more. Then decades later, the first psychedelic artists were born, much closer to music in its origins and who represented a rebellion against the established norms in the face of a world in chaos.

Today after 100 years, the scenario is complex again. There are wars, there is a technological revolution and the world is coming out of a great chaos caused by a virus that produced a great crisis. Can we perhaps learn something from the ideas of surrealism, to understand today's world?, remove ourselves from the entirely rational mind to which technology and the "information society" push us, to finally understand the world from an alternative perspective?

Making this compilation was a leap into the void, a mixture of psychic automatism and cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) that ended with a very free, authentic and very fresh result, with the wonder of the unexpected, including very purely electronic songs, with ideas of techno and even psy trance, like other more tropical ones with psychedelic cumbia, of course others more pop and the others, those that are usually there in our music, the ones totally trippy.

We hope you enjoy this great compilation full of freedom and unusual ideas, which will help you connect with another world through music, rhythm and love, thank you eternally!

Free Download time ! Our next release from the Measured Tapes series see us collaborate with eclectic Italian songwriter, composer and music producer Matt Jah. 

Matt always works in different styles of music. Inspired by his travels and the various cultures of the world, with a continuous careful research into the ancient and ancestral that blends with electronic and psychedelic sounds. For Matt Jah music is the embodiment of the spirit.

Equilibrar is a downtempo song, rich in organic sounds , textures and dub effects, a track where he combines his essence as a songwriter with that of a music producer. The song's lyrics speak of an inner storm, 
a moment where he is looking for balance within himself. 
When he started working on it, he felt the need to transform his sensations into music as a kind of cure for the soul. This is how Equilibrar was born.

ABOUT THE EP:
Weka Tek brings a lush organic house release to Kosa music. Two original tunes and 2 remixes from friends Transcienic (NZ) and Beatfarmer (CAN)

Team bliss came about after Brendan was deeply inspired to write a tune that captured the moments of bliss and deep connection with some of his nearest and dearest after spending an evening lying under the stars together in the New Zealand country side.

This project is his attempt to put those feelings into music.

Aquatic is an attempt to capture the thoughts and feelings of a droplet of water as it flows down stream. Starting with it surfacing from an underground spring, cascading over rocks, winding its way through forests, swirling in tranquil pools, the turmoil of a waterfall and its eventual arrival at the ocean.
