 Next time, don't waste your breath. 
I may look young - born and raised to run, 
but I feel close to death,

I know I'm old enough to know, 
that change is not prudent to detest. 
But I did not cheer when independence came here,
 instead my heart got caught up with my chest, 
my heart got caught up with my chest.

 and when I can't breathe - I still speak.

Oh tell me all that's stopping you,  is thinking I am bullet proof.

I've spilt my guts, have you heard enough? 
I wished you didn't have to see me in this mess. 
But my heart's turned to stone, it has not been mine own. 
For as many years as you have seen me in the flesh, 
like you said yourself we have to self-protect.

I will be fully known,  
it's better all Hell breaks loose then penned in,
 a glass case loved for perfection.
