He delivers two energetic deep grooves which boast that rolling unmistakable Dutch sound as well as featuring some vocal chops and acidic synths. On the remix we have a duo from South America LeaignaVibes, who have delivered a bouncy remix of Tresor View accompanied with different chord melodies and pads whilst still boasting a solid groove.

We’ve been quiet, and much like the rest of the world, in a state of lock-down. Whilst no one is allowed to leave or enter Australia, the one thing that can travel is the Australian sound.

Our first digital release presents a line up filled with Australian-only artists featuring a variety of established and familiar faces alongside a bunch of new ones. The nature of the scene today can sometimes be restrictive for those wanting to get their tunes heard and into the ears of listeners around the world. To combat this issue, we wanted this release to also focus on giving a shot to all, who during these times, have also taken a crack at forming a sound of their own. The Australian sound has thus slowly emerged and penetrated the global scene as the Down Under VA pushes all things house, minimal, and electro to span a broad selection of electronic and club-grade tracks.

The Down Under VA is now available for purchase through Bandcamp and we couldn’t be more excited to get this released after over a year of production and planning.

Berlin based producer, SY, opens the META label 2021 account in fine fettle, with two impressive cuts for Ben Rau’s ever consistent label.

Originally from Manchester, SY has been operating his EWax label since 2016, issuing a consistent and steady stream of releases from the likes of Debussy, Den Haas, Revivis, and SY himself.  Deep and minimal house music par excellence is the signature sound served up here, on his assured debut for META.

‘Spacetype’ is a cruising, interplanetary ride; deep bass pulses and propulsive beats are soaked in galactic pads and spiraling melodic keys, for an exceptional journey through time & space.  Accompanying track, ‘Want Me’, is all swinging beats and deft chords, whilst a muted vocal rhythmically intertwines the alluring synth motifs.
