With things turning for the warmer and the feel of spring in the air we look to a long-time friend of the shop whose releases we've stocked on the shelves, Mr 'Sam Pills' for a feel-good deep house rollout, which is the backbone of what Sam's curated podcast is all about. You can expect organic percussion, beautiful Rhodes chords and plenty of hip-moving swing. Just over an hour to get your ears into this smoothly executed mix.

Sam will be hosting a night highlighting his label and his deep house sound halfway through August so please keep an eye out for that one, promises to be a goodie.

Some words from Sam -

"So the concept with the mix was to journey from daytime through the night and ending up with the sun coming out. Rather than litter it with my own productions I thought I'd showcase the different types of House music that I enjoy, starting a bit Jazzy and then filtering through some Garage leaning stuff before heading into Afro domains."

EBR Podcast 084 - Sam Pills

Recorded live at La Mona on 13th April 2024 with @mikeagentx playing from 1 until 3 am. 900 people came through the doors, with the night on from 10pm until 530 am on the two floors of La Bellevilloise in Eastern Paris. Also on the same night in the basement room Tijo Aimé who played the closing set and Nick V who warmed up with Mogwai giving a House Dance class at the start. In the top room Julien Lebrun and DJ André played Afro, Disco, Funk and classics and Mutekirena giving a Waacking dance class. Mike played some unreleased tracks also during his set. We hope you enjoy listening back xxx
