Oceanvs Orientalis’s slow-burning groove meets Sylvia Rebecca’s ethereal spoken word style vocals, recounting the mythological tale of Adonis with a modern twist. The poem was converted from one of the first texts ever written about Adonis. Recorded live in the ancient Lycian towns of Turkey, Barbaros Uzbay plays melodious guitar riffs alongside Ahmet Baran Eskili, who embellishes the tale with the melancholy notes from his magical Kanun.

Aphrodite’s favorite mortal lover Adonis represents beauty, desire, death and resurrection in Greek mythology. Aphrodite has a foreboding dream about Adonis getting murdered by a wild boar on one of his hunting trips. She tries to prevent the inevitable by warning him, but he pays her no heed, and is killed by a wild boar. When Adonis dies in Aphrodite’s arms, her tears mix with his blood, and Adonis is transformed into an anemone flower.

Combined with Sylvia Rebecca’s theatrical and trippy storytelling of this tale, Oceanvs Orientalis’s production celebrates Turkish psychedelia while masterfully bringing ancient sounds to the dance floor.

Inspired by the African cassette tapes from my father, I started playing African Disco and Funk in Amsterdam in 2010. After traveling in different continents, I started experimenting with sounds from all over the world. Where I used to play a bit more uptempo, nowadays I am focussing on a deeper and more atmospheric sound. Blending different genres and tempos is something that is appealing to me. From Nigerian funk to Amazon tribe music, everything is possible.

James, the king of easy listening aka Mr Happy Sound was born on April 17, 1929 in Bremen, Germany.  He is known for his work on Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), Shallow Grave (1994) and Mary and Max (2009). He was a big-band leader, composer, and arranger. He sold millions of records with his trademark "happy music", upbeat versions of pop and classical favorites performed by his orchestra.

DJing from a young age and up until 25, I was driven by a deep passion for electronic music. Even when life pushed me to step away from the decks, I never disconnected from the electronic world. Lounge and Deep House remained constant inspirations — deeply influenced by the timeless Buddha Bar universe.

The Technoparades of 2021 to 2023 marked a turning point. Surrounded by thousands of people and their raw energy, everything naturally pulled me back to the turntables. Years of collected sounds were finally ready to be expressed and shared.

Today, this journey evolves into a new chapter with the creation of my own label.
A platform where I continue to develop my own artistic project, while opening the space to like-minded artists who share the same vision.

The label focuses on Deep House, Organic House, Ethno Deep House, Tech House, and Lounge — music rooted in groove, atmosphere, and cultural depth. Influences from the Middle East, the Far East, Eastern Europe, and India shape a sonic identity driven by travel, emotion, and storytelling.

This label is not only a structure, but a collective mindset — a home for artists seeking authenticity, musical depth, and freedom of expression.

This is only the beginning of a new adventure.
