Cavela - Dilika (Prod. By The Elite-Ablazers)

ShenguVille is a Kwaito/Hip-Hop group from Wedela which is a township in Carletonville Gauteng South Africa. The members of the group are Phumlani Sakeni who goes by the stage name Cavela (Rapper), Sbusiso Rulemente who goes by the stage name Sbuda (Rapper) and Songeze Somkebe who goes by the stage name Songs (Producer/DJ). The group’s name “ShenguVille” was formulated with the aim to represent their home township section Mshengu where they extracted the first part of the group’s name “Shengu” and their hometown Carletonville were they extracted the last five letters “Ville”. 

Currently, the group is promoting a series of free singles as a build up to their first mixtape release in the last quarter of 2017. The singles have been released under their own independent record label EASV Entertainment which they co-own with their manager Aobakwe Obza Tube.  They released their first single on the 5th of December 2016 titled Ziyawa followed by Brand New Day and Umgangatho which were released simultaneously on the 1st of April 2017 and Kasi Life on the 30th of June 2017. All of the aforementioned singles have been produced by The Elite-Ablazers which is a production duo that ShenguVille works hand in hand with. 

Previously, the group has performed at events and venues which include, University of Johannesburg Freshers Ball (Soweto), Rand Show Mi Talent Stage (Nasrec), Kasi Rap Tour at the Red Apple Night Club Newtown (Johannesburg), Merafong Day Charity Event (Carletonville), Jazz Bar (Carletonville), Chesa By Night (Carletonville), Dalaville Musical Experience Voyage (Wedela), 6US The Movement (Wedela), 101 Experience (Wedela), Delewa Music Sessions (Wedela), House of Hunger (Zoo Lake), Bar Nine (Midrand), Kasi Hip-Hop Show (Potchefstroom). 

Moving forward, ShenguVille is busy completing their mixtape, working on concepts for shooting music videos for the singles and performing in and around Gauteng.

Songeze Bagcobile Somkebe, better known by his stage name SONGS, is a South African Record Producer, Musician, DJ and Professional Town Planner. He grew up in Wedela and attended Carleton Jones High School and Graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2015 with a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Town and Regional Planning . He began creating music at about the age of thirteen. He joined two music based groups in 2011 namely, Shenguville and The Elite-Ablazers. In 2016 he co-founded EASV Entertainment which is an independent record company which he is currently signed to.
