I Can Feel It In The Air

I am John de Bruijn, born in Holland in 1956, since 1972 I'm a songwriter, composer, producer and arranger by the name John Styles, and I recorded several songs within different Projects also with other groups.
I wrote a lot of ballads in the past also for other artists, when i started working within Projects, I started into making background / theme-music for docu's, movies & commercials, and I still do.

For more then 9 years I work together with http://soundcloud.com/matbaker1970, we composed and co-writed together for Themes / Scores / Soundtracks for Films and Docu's, we hope our music might one day be featured in a Film, Docu or Commercial.

Our latest projects: https://soundcloud.com/feng-shui-music and we're now working together on Music4Brains Project, in which we're creating music for people with brains enjury, anxiety and overstimulation problems to help them to coop with their dayly problems accepting different types of sounds & noice. 

Our band: http://soundcloud.com/euphoriqa includes Hemmo ( http://soundcloud.com/age-r ) and Ralf ( http://soundcloud.com/bingzhu ) were making covers for fun, we also compose / write songs, which could be used as soundtracks or themesongs too.
With https://soundcloud.com/quenya-projects we ask other musicians to join us to collab on NewAge, Celtic and Folk / experimental type of music.

I also collaborated with many artists over the years, We found the right way to work together, talking on the phone or skype discussing what or how we want things to be build up, and keep sending tracks back and forth till we're all satisfied.
The nice thing of working into those Projects is that you can help new talents on their way, and working with them also gave me other chances, and I became a allround songwriter / composer within all styles and types of music.
I traveled all over the world to scout for new talents, which made me a more fulfilling person, and I feel rich (not moneywise), being so close to so many cultures I learned so much, and I also make Therapy Music for about 10 years now.

I am very happy that my music helps so many people all over the world, and that I can use my talent to help others, so that my God's given gift can be spread out and touch others, I'm blessed to be able to reach so many hearts and souls.
Music is my drive, without it I wouldn't feel alive, it's also a therapy for me, and luckily my family supports me all the way, that makes me a very happy man, and hopefully you'll be able to hear and sense that within my music, ENJOY my music!!!!!

All songs/sketches/Études, etc... Created in Apple ‘Garage Band Mobile’ - Most instruments, live or synth are first/second takes in as well as my mixes are at best questionable. Most need finished but my goal at the moment is to have fun and squeeze all I can out of ‘Garage Band’.

I compose my own music and play a Classical, Spanish- haunting kind of music. Fingerstyle, no picks, just me. I like intense, ethereal sound that takes you on a journey. I play from a priori memory and feeling … therefore each song is unique to the time it was made and is drawn from deep within

Songs about folks, sunsets, oceans, mountains, jungles and dive bars I woke up in. Stories of feeling locked out in the rain, getting stuck in a square peg, making the mistake of dancing with the fairies and feeling like Rip Van Winkle. They are stories from an outsiders perspective, the belief in heroes, mythologies and an open highway. Indignation at injustice and the belief in a better tomorrow. Or maybe just disillusionment. 

If you’ve ever asked yourself what happened to this world and what happened to dreams maybe one of these songs is for you. If you still believe in the power of music to make you a better version of yourself then maybe one of these songs is for you. Or maybe you just wanna have a laugh and listen to some toe tappin music that makes you feel like your not the only one with a quirky perspective on the world. Maybe you just want to feel like a hero with headphones for a few minutes. Or maybe your just looking for a slob to hang out with.
