One year had passed since the devastation of mankind. All life ravaged by the undead plague, a tide of death sweeping across the planet mercilessly, as the ever-growing mass of the lifeless swelled in its wake. The sentient population of the globe was reduced to pitiful numbers, hiding in the wreckage of once vibrant cities, long since destroyed in the futile battle for survival. Where once there was hope for survival, now remained only the ember of a desperate memory of a different future. The cycle of the dead was ever in motion, their ragged forms roaming in packs, haunting the urban desolation. Ever-dimming senses of their terminal animated corpses constantly ready to consume the living. An endless yearning to feed drove them relentlessly onwards through the desolate shadows of civilization’s end, whilst the earth below those skulking feet continued its galactic voyage obliviously. Above one such horde, a celestial alignment was unfurling in the cold depths of space. As the sun burned blood red against the horizon and the moon slid serenely across its infernal face, the light dimmed as heavy shade drew across planet. The shuffling of the horde paused as distant poured their anguish into the sky at the early arrival of night. Rotting faces raised to the heavens, the light of that unholy corona spilling across their putrid features. The dying rays of a bleak sunset penetrating their rotting sockets, as the SOLAR ECLIPSE leveled darkness upon the earth with raging eternal might.
 
Hungarian neurofunk legend CHRIS.SU returns to the EATBRAIN label in full force, following up his ‘Underground Culture’ label anthem and State of Mind Collaboration ‘Chariots’ with his first full EP – SOLAR ECLIPSE. 2015 was a year that catapulted EATBRAIN deep into the awareness of the drum and bass scene and concreted their place as one of the most crucial and influential labels in the forward-thinking neuro genre. Their first release of 2016 lands an effective blow with AGRESSOR BUNX at the helm, with these upcoming producers illustrating their production expertise in diving into sinister depths of dnb tech to manifest THE ORDER EP.

Within the bowels of the earth lies a place where the dark energy dwells – a point at which unrivalled power flows through the shadowy conduits of timeless technology. At these depths dwells a race of faceless beings – THE ORDER - with the unique ability to twist and forge the strands of potent power into the complex audio forms of a new wave of neurofunk.

Featuring 5 dynamic tracks with the trademark stripped percussion of Agressor Bunx, exquisitely punctuating towering basslines and precisely placed sonic explorations of a rich sonic palette. From hard neuro bangers ‘The Order’ and ‘Rhodium’ to the deeper sound of ‘Free Machine’ - Eatbrain fans have plenty to choose from in The Order EP, and will hungrily receive this first ritualistic offering of 2016.

It began as a whisper, spoken in low tones in multiple languages in the uneasy night. Talk of a place where the greatest of mecha roam, gathering amongst the desolate ruins of a war prepared for and never fought. The first explorers returned with stories of low frequency weapons, harvested from the ruined depths of a subterranean complex. With these re-engineered into towering relays capable of pure sonic carnage, the lands began filling rapidly with pilgrims from distant places, offering themselves as captives to their own higher mental states. What was once a mere whisper has now become legend, with this meeting of the mightiest clans bringing forth the greatest frequency warriors to stake out their claims. 

EATBRAIN casts a long shadow across the fray, setting seasoned label veterans L 33 and MINDSCAPE into the hordes of adrenaline-fuelled ravers alongside recent label additions MACHINECODE and AGRESSOR BUNX - all of whom have LPs coming on the label as well as appearing at the festival. A tight manifesto is stretched across the 4 rowdy and high-energy tracks that make up the EATBRAIN GOES TO LET IT ROLL, with the irresistible audio manipulative skills of Eatbrain crafted to exquisitely tear up the dance. Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. ATYK is comprised of Joe & Ellis, two newcomers hailing from York, whose mix of DnB, Trap, Break Beat & Grime has been twitching ears in the scene. In a lair of dereliction their bones lay, a place spoken of only in whispers – an unholy ground filled with the restless dead… The patient bones and rotting flesh of unspeakable horrors waiting only to feed on the living. The vile resting ground had nurtured their twisted feline forms, arching their twisted spines in death’s torment - filling them with the insatiable hunger for life… Driven by unrequitable desires to cross back through the veil of the deceased. 

Their bones trembled beneath the damp earth, full of rage and grim determination; shaking loose the soil of their burial ground… Pushing upward towards the night air and breaking free of the eternal slumber – back into the realm of warm life, full of those ready to be fed upon. Skeletal tails wove through the shadows of night, sharp incisors ready to feast on their prey, glinting in the light of the fragile moon - the Zombie Cats are stalking the night again and no warm creature is safe whilst they are ALIVE!
