Here was something wrong with his latest creation. It sat very still, staring with tense eyes at him in silence as he leant over the altar of his work. His instruments glinted with the reflected gold of the candle flames that lit his space, the cradle of life where he replanted embers of consciousness in the infertile grounds of the dead. Up until now they had stirred into reality with the confused motion of limbs, eyes rolling and hands moving desperately along the cracks of the floor and the edges of the doorway, seeking fervently a way out. But this one was different – her eyes had snapped sharply open, she sat upright, and since that moment her stillness tainted the room with a quiet malice. Her eyes followed him as he moved, inspecting his work beyond an arm’s length. The black pits of her pupils like twin gravity wells, cold tendrils reaching out and compelling him closer as though death’s hand brushed the back of his neck and whispered timeless truths with a whisper into his ear. He drew back, looking down at the dark blood on his hands as her eyes flicked over them. Reaching behind him, he grasped his chair, sitting down slowly, his legs trembling slightly before buckling beneath his weight. The oppression of her stare bore down upon him. 

The relentless shuffle of MINDSCAPE's deadly REANIMATOR LP continues, as the ultimate power of Chapter II is unleashed on the EATBRAIN listener base. Bringing the next 4 tracks of what's turning out to be one of neurofunk's most solid albums, Mindscape's veteran experience shines through on each of the cuts, with his awareness of where the frontier of the genre lies sharpening the blades of his beautifully frenetic assault. Mindscape provides no-nonsense dancefloor vibes with 'Brightness'. Quickly stepping things up during the intro, 'Brightness' continues to gain momentum as new elements are brought to the forefront. A hefty bassline swings back and forth as the drum programming intensifies, kicking things into full force. Synth stabs converge with an unruly cowbell to increase the pulse rate. Faint vocal-like pads stretch into the breakdown, strangely mystical and bordering upon uplifting, before crashing back down to earth with another heavyweight drop. Mindscape delivers a pure dancefloor bomb with 'Brightness'.

In his own words: ‘Three Point Zero represents something new to me, moving from 2.0 to 3.0. It relates to the "cyber" life we all now lead in one way or another. 3.0 could also reference the next stage in human evolution. Where the body, spirituality and technology combine. Human 3.0, when a man becomes his own Prophet.’

Since signing exclusively with Viper Recordings in April, Austria’s Dossa & Locuzzed have been enjoying some serious recognition as one of the industry’s hottest new drum and bass duos. With their debut single ‘Only Way / Electric Boogie’ released back in May on Viper’s sister label Viper VIP to tumultuous praise, the talented producers have been hitting the scene hard in 2016. Featuring on Viper’s ‘Bassrush 1.0’ album with ‘Ninja’, as well as the annual ‘Drum & Bass Summer Slammers 2016’ compilation with ‘Banana Split’, Dossa & Locuzzed have been gaining support from some of the biggest names in the industry along with fresh new remixes of NC-17’s ‘Soldiers’ and Deuce & Charger’s ‘Who Can You Trust?’. Now with their first single on the main Viper Recordings roster, Dossa & Locuzzed are back to see out the end of the summer with even more fire.

‘Dance’ sets the scene with an airy and atmospheric intro before spiralling headfirst in to a catchy beat packed full of funky synths, gritty stabs and plenty of old-school raver vibe. Adding some vocal samples and plenty of drums in to the mix, the duo has created the perfect recipe for a seriously eclectic track which is a sure-fire classic in the making.

Next up, ‘Shag’ jumps straight in with a mix of swirling synths and bouncy drums, kicking things off with a no-nonsense drop that means business. Featuring an up-tempo beat with aggressive stabs and riffs not unlike those you’d hear tearing up a jump-up dance, this first tune from the single packs a punch you’re not likely to forget.
