Bedtime

Janky Programming is a collaboration between my partner Duncan aka El Dunco (@fragmentametal) and I (@eatcarpet aka Cyber Kitten).
Janky Programming is both the name of the song and our new band which consists of just the two of us.
Janky was my brainchild and Duncan was the driving force behind the project composing multiple sections and making valuable contributions including mixing, mastering and co-production. 
I came up with the name "Janky Programming" because our music is experimental and could be perceived as sounding a bit strange and fragmented, not fitting snugly into any genre, rather occupying multiple genres and drawing influence from all of them. 
I want our music to evolve and I want us to have our own unique sound, Janky is step one in that process.  

The other reason I titled the band JP was because I feel like a computer sometimes, often using analogies and coping by referring to myself as one, like sometimes I feel like I have too many processes running at once, or I have an unexpected shutdown, that sort of thing.  
- both my partner and I feel like our programming/software is "janky" or messed up, as is the music, we can use music to express those pent up emotions. 
I hope you enjoy this new track; it's in a very different vein to what my partner usually makes (thrash metal) and a slightly different vein for me (dream pop, ambient, electronic).
