Steadily emerging over the past six years, 2019 really has been the year for this Valencian artist, where he’s released EPs on the likes of Kompakt, Watergate Records and on the Adana Twins’ new imprint, TAU. You’ve more than likely heard ‘Malson’ from his mightily impressive ‘Regal No Material’ EP out on the dancefloor too: from Ibiza, to Burning Man, and everywhere else in between. 

Over the hour Upercent gives us full access into his mind of raw and sophisticated talent which holds no boundaries. Flawlessly blending an array of vocals layered upon an explosion of punchy snares and abstract whispers, alongside infusions of acid synths, split kicks and an unstoppable rhythm, it’s a journey which, with absolutely no doubt, wouldn’t be out of place on a dancefloor.

It's not your ordinary mix, it's a confession to the unordinary site of music, it's Upercent's dedication to the art:cast series. The Spanish producer, who's had a reputation with labels such as Kompakt, TAU or Watergate Records, toddles through tracks, genres, music and delivers a mix that deserves the predicate extraordinary or in other words Upercent experiments with tunes, molds them together to a homogeneous mixture with a powerful signature in an almost perfectly arranged way. Far away from (recent) club sets, far away from dance floors, dissociating himself from raised hands under a sweaty sky, Upercent delivers an hour full memorable moments and manages the impossible like having the perfect match even if you swiped left. With several edits the Sevilla resident not only adds a strong personal note but manages to come up with an art:cast that overcomes the boundaries of genres as Upercent keeps the momentum (of the mix) going – smoothly and delicately and in an exciting manner.

Seine Liebe zur elektronischen Musik entdeckte Tellerboy ersten relativ spät – im Herbst 2016. Fasziniert von dem Vibe auf ausschweifenden Raves und der treibenden Musik stand schnell fest nicht nur mittanzen zu wollen, sondern auch ein Teil davon zu werden. Mangels Knowhow an den Plattentellern sollten es eigene Veranstaltung werden und so wurde mit Freunden Discotheque Royal ins Leben gerufen. Doch es kam anders. Noch bevor die erste eigene Party organisiert war, wurde Tellerboy hinter den Mixer geschoben. Der Funke sprang sofort über, es war Liebe auf den ersten Gig! Seitdem gehen DJing und die Organisation von Veranstaltungen Hand in Hand. Mittlerweile spielt er regelmäßig im Bahnwärter Thiel, beim Wannda Circus Open Air, im Harry Klein, oder bei Off-Location Raves. Highlights waren Gigs im Sisyphos in Berlin, beim Sa Terza Metari Festival und natürlich so manchem 12 Stunden Ritt in der Gruam. Auch veranstaltungstechnisch hat sich einiges getan, so gastiert DR mittlerweile mit eigenen Clubnächten im Bahnwärter Thiel und im Kunst Block Blave, außerdem wurde mit GaGaGarden auch eine Open Air Reihe ins Leben gerufen.
Ausgehend von den Anfängen in der Gruam mit Spielzeiten von 8 Stunden und mehr, bewegt sich Tellerboy von groovigem Disco, über Nudance und melodic House & Techno bis hin zu Techno in einem breiten Musikspektrum. Am liebsten spielt er treibende melodic Techno oder Techno Sets, gerne auch mit Vocals und es darf dabei auch mal düster werden.

@dielinamusic and I decided to re-record our set from Cirkus Tresolar (29-08-2020) in the Techno Tunnel, Gothenburg, as it wasn't recorded during the evening. 

This set is a slow, melodic techno trip where we play with decreasing the tempo of fast techno tracks, making them sound more intensive and present.
