The newest Hey! hero is Ferreck Dawn. After releases on Material, Toolroom and Nervous, 3 of his tracks found their way to Hey! 'Back and forth' was picked demo of the week for Michel de Hey's radioshow Hey! Muzik. After that it became a trademark record for Michel in his sets and the next step was searching tracks for a full release.
And that was an easy mission. 'Mine' is the perfect hybrid between the Ukhouse sound of Dusky and Huxley mixed up with Ferreck's own groove, works like giving a red bull to an infant (please do not try this at home!!!!). The 3rd track of this release is 'Mumbling', which has the perfect house groove and sounds like spring, sunny and bright! All 3 tracks are an Aside by itself so again a superstrong Hey! records release.

Ferreck's previous releases 'Kabeya' and 'Tattoo Girl' both reached the Beatport top 10. His latest release 'Love too deep' currently resides comfortably in the Beatport Deephouse top 10.
With other tracks coming up on Toolroom and Positive music and gigs in Romania, United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain and Sweden and of course Holland, 2014 is already shaping up to be an excellent year for Ferreck!

SNOE is back with one last huge release from Argentinian DJ and producer Adrian Hour before the New Year sets in. After his very successful remix for Beth Lydi’s “Jump The Couch” which was played by artists such as Sasha, Mark Knight and Dave Seamen, Adrian Hour returns to SNOE with “Kickback”. 

The original track is nothing short but a groove monster. A skillfully crafted track building up to a massive momentum exploding in the power of drums and synths, mixing a euphoric atmosphere with the darkness of the clubs, all ready to set the dance floors on fire.

Labelbosses Andreas Henneberg & Beth Lydi were not able to keep their hands off this one and got together to do a remix again. They are both considered to be bassline freaks, and this shines through as the dominating strength in the remix, funking the whole thing up a bit while keeping the original power. 

After his hard-hitting releases on SNOE, Compact Grey joined in on the “Kickback” fun and did his own interpretation of the track. In true style it rolls and bounces with perky percussions as the frame for original elements. There is no holding back when this track gets started.

With this EP there is only one way moving, and that is forward in pure tech house bliss. Enjoy SNOE nr. 17!

At 3000, we are always keen to look into whatever the next big thing is going to be. Within bass music we are currently within a period of serious transition, as we find artists moving away from the standardized bassline sound and into new areas of inspiration, one of those being the very exciting tech hybrid sound.

It's time for us to take another journey into the unknown today as we dive head first into an artist we are yet to explore. Hailing from Leeds, we are very excited to take a closer look at GAWP, a producer who's unique, grizzly approach to 4x4 music has seen him gain the support of some of the biggest labels in bass and house music, including the likes of Dirtybird, This Ain't Bristol, Toolroom, 7Wallace & Hotboi.

We are here today however to take a brief look into his latest debut on Anabatic as he touches down for a brand new EP, taking the title of 'See You Later Oscillator'. From start to finish the EP is a brilliant showcase of GAWP's truly unique take on electronic music production, focusing heavily on the timbre of his bass tones and sharpness of his drum designs...

- How long have you been creating music?

A - Been making music now for about 10 years. Started playing in bands at a young age,

and transitioned to producing about 5 years ago.

L: Iv’e been recording music for sixteen years. Seriously producing music for the past five years.



- What do you use to make your tracks?

A - Ableton Live, and a buncha plugins

L: I primarily use Logic X. But I also work in Ableton.



- How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?

A - I actually discovered Claude Vonstroke before dirtybird, I downloaded his album Bird Brain
when it came out, but knew nothing about dirtybird. I didn't discover dirtybird until I heard Sage Armstrong and Ryan Forever.  
L: I first discovered Dirtybird in 2009 after hearing Claude VonStroke’s “Vocal Chords” track. It was different from anything else I had heard in the house music realm. Also Justin Martin & Ardalan’s track LEZGO blew me away. After seeing Justin Martin play in Santa Barbara in 2013, I fell in love. And finally, after hearing “Don’t Like To Do That” by Cause In Affect, I became infatuated with the DB sound and it completely changed the way I listened to music.



- Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?

A - Walker & Royce

L: Jeeeeze hard question… Hmmm.. As of now, probably Walker & Royce.



- If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?

A - High Fidelity

L: What Women Want, because I can’t seem to figure it out.



- What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

A - Band: Paul McCartney or Nine Inch Nails. Electronic: Hard Summer 2013 w/ Claude Vonstroke, Flying Lotus, and Gessaffelstein
L: Probably some random HARD event at the Roxy Theatre. Don Rimini was playing and it was the first time I really heard electronic music being played. Changed my life.



- If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

A - 1985. To Join a hair metal band.

L: The 70’s so I could sneak into one of Steely Dan’s studio sessions.



- What species of bird best describes you and why?

A - Bald eagle, because I'm losing my hair.

L: The Kookaburra because I literally make those sounds all day.



- What does Dirtybird mean to you?

A - Quirky, fun, good vibes! 

L: A family of birds that keep it dirty, fresh, and fancy. Showing examples of unity through forward thinking sounds.
