A school where the main focus is to teach Yawanawa language to the children of the “Nova Esperança” village, which is the largest Yawanawa community in the area, (Acre, Brazil), with the largest number of children, (180 children in a population of 300 people).

Gingaí is the tribal downtempo music project of Portuguese artist Henrique Saias, a rising talent in the global folktronica scene.  He is passionate about musical cultural heritage and traditions such as the Australian aborigines’ didgeridoo and the Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira.  His sound brings the sonic and vibrational essence of these and other cultures from around the world.

The Gingaí sound web is filled with tribal elements, warm synths and elaborate percussions.  In the stories he weaves, he’s as fluent in the meditative and transcendental as he is in the expansive ritual of dance.  His music floods the dancefloor with earthy basslines, rattles, driving groove and positive energy. 

"My music is deeply rooted in our shared ancestry, sourced from the primal heritage alive in our collective unconscious.  My intention is tap into the universality of music, this powerful language without borders, to build a brighter, more prosperous future for ourselves and for generations to come".

His sound and Art is a deep fusion of the organic and digital worlds as well as the living embodyment of of an eco warrior musical activist that brings about positive change in the world through music.

"This track was inspired during a period of my life living in a flat shrouded in a deep spiritual dimension in West Berlin. It was so free, so wild, yet surrounded by neighbours and people outside who exuded a strange and oppressive, conservative vibe. When I first heard Laboratorium Piesni's "Sztoj Pa Moru", a profound sensation struck me. I felt I had to reproduce a track with a heavy aggressive beat relating to my feelings of West Berlin but resting within the soothing and beautiful healing sounds of Laboratorium Piesni and the peaceful flat I was residing in at the time."

Eccodek has emerged as one of the leading lights in the global electronic scene. Based in Canada, the project is guided by producer, multi-instrumentalist and remixer, Andrew McPherson. From its humble beginnings in early 2002, the band has gone on to release 5 albums, including their recent searing, live recording, Living for Live. Their blend of dub, funk, jazz and cinematic electronics, alongside stunning vocal and instrumental performances by an ever deepening well of cultural collaborators, has put them at the top of the world fusion scene. With 3 releases on U.S.'s White Swan Records and numerous releases through Real World Records, Six Degrees, Buddha Bar and more, Eccodek continues to push the fusion vibe in new and exciting directions.

2011's Remixtasy saw the band's earlier work remixed by a tastemaker's list of producers, reimagining tracks from More Africa in Us, Voices Have Eyes and the Juno-nominated Shivaboom. Heavyweights like Transglobal Underground, Six Degrees' Jef Stott, Dubmatix, EarthRise SoundSystem, Real World's Syriana, Adham Shaikh and Delhi 2 Dublin's TSpoon created fresh interpretations of Eccodek's catalogue. Eccodek mainman Andrew McPherson gave the redux treatment to 2 radical redubs from the first album - an Afrobeat throwdown and a sensuous Steppers dub odyssey. A great way to celebrate 10 years.... but sights are now set on the release of their 4th studio album in spring 2013. (a stunning collaboration with Malian griot Jah Youssouf) There's no telling what exotic shore the Eccodek mothership will wash up on next.
