About the CD:
I was always aware of Bukem, another DJ who managed to make underground rumblings to the listeners of the British dance scene without  us seemingly knowing who they even were... we just knew about them anyway.  immediately fell in love with this CD once Makoto's 'Inside Your Love' rolled in with MC Conrad's silky smooth mc'ing riding over the top. I'd always loved drum and bass from a distance, but from hearing that track... I was forever a massive fan. I bought into the Good Looking label, bought alot of old releases, all the mix cd's and then fell in love with Bukem's downtempo sister label 'Cookin Records'. This influence was one of the main sounds of my early vinyl days and has gone on to educate and delight for another decade and more. Play it loud, ride the groove, feel the bass. BUKEM!

I loved Jungle and DnB since I was a teenager. After a long journey through House and Techno I had a surprising b2b set with the godfather of DnB - Sir Goldie, about 8-9 years ago. We almost didn't played any electronic music that night, but the meeting inspired me to start digging bass music again. As I’m expected to play house and techno on my shows - with such and open format as Upperberry. I saw the chance to show my other passion. There is no deep philosophy behind this mix, just music I dance to, sometimes with hands in the air, sometimes eyes closed.

You will know 'Beauty Never Fades' unless you have been living under a rock for many years. What started off being played by Sasha who played it right throughout his Airdrawndagger tour, soon became a highly sought after track unlike most others of 2002.  A spacial Progressive House groove controls the track which features the vocals of Saffron, formerly of Republica and also known from her work along with Tarrentella (DJ/Producer).
Our head honcho Dark Soul Project teams up with his French colleague Mathov to deliver an amazing version of this true classic that has been generating huge reactions on the dancefloor, a twisted and haunting remix that works perfectly in a club atmosphere.
