He didn’t wait for us to be good enough...
He loved us first...
Even when we were lost, selfish, or broken...
He came for us...

That’s what the cross means...
Jesus didn’t just die for perfect people...
He died for people like you and me...
People with fears, questions, and mistakes...
That’s the kind of love God has...

Not that we are good enough to reach God...
But that God came down to reach us...
He’s still reaching...
Today. Right now...
Jesus gave His life… 
So we could live…
Fully known, fully forgiven, forever loved...

Not that we are good enough to reach God...

Now you might ask...
But what if I mess up again...
Or, What if I feel far from God...
Or even, How do I know He still loves me...

Romans 8 answers those questions with power and clarity...
If God is for us, who can be against us...
He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all...
How will He not also graciously give us all things...
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ...
Shall trouble... 
Or hardship... 
Or danger... 
Or death...

And then Paul says this...
I am convinced… 
That nothing...
Not death or life, not angels or demons...
Not the past or the future, not height or depth...
Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God...
In Christ Jesus our Lord...

Not that we are good enough to reach God...
But that God came down to reach us...
He’s still reaching...
Today. Right now...
Jesus gave His life…
