Tear walk

Located in New York City & Tel Aviv, the artists Liliana Farber & Ronnie Karfiol self surveil their walks in the city and translate the gathered data into piano compositions.
Revising the surveillance nature of current WiFi technologies, the artists propose a poetical approach to the act of generating data on our daily movements around the city, raising questions about data agency and access.
The project looks at the very origins of WiFi technology and its relation to music, creating a playful dialog between the artists and whichever service that silently tracks their locations.
