Hoochie Coochie Men, a genre-defying blues and folk band, was formed in 2012 in the small town of Easton, PA. Seeped in a mix of soul, narrative songwriting and blues power, the band draws inspiration from the likes of Ray Charles, Freddie King, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan, and The Allman Brothers Band. 

Their sound has been called a “fresh and inspiring take on American roots music” by 8-time Grammy winning composer, Paul Winter. 

HCM has recently gained steam and found success all over the northeast playing shows from D.C. to Portland, Maine and everywhere in between. They have shared the stage with many national acts such as the legendary B.B. King, Pete Francis of Dispatch, Matt Costa, Toy Soldiers, Badfish, American Babies, Amy Lynn and the Gunshow and many more. Hoochie Coochie Men are working hard to carve out their place in the rich, melting pot that is American music.

When Mackenzie Shivers creates music, it’s as if it demands to be heard. Through textures that are handmade and vibrant, Shivers examines who she is in the wake of loss and transition, all the while pulling each listener into a stunning musical terrain. The self-portrait she paints is honest and flawed, shimmering and spirited. Listening to her work leaves you with no doubt that you’ve entered the intimate and imaginative world of its creator.
