Sound In Silence is proud to welcome back Panoptique Electrical, presenting his new album Decades (2001-2021), an era-spanning compilation of ambient works, experimental scores and soundtracks.

This is his fourth album on the label after the highly acclaimed Disappearing Music For Face in 2016, Quiet Ecology in 2017 and Five Pianos in 2020.

For over twenty years Jason Sweeney, based on Kaurna Country in South Australia, has been composing and recording either solo, in various electronic bands (Other People’s Children, Pretty Boy Crossover) and under the composer alias of Panoptique Electrical. He has also been directing and creating interactive works for the internet, making experimental films, curating projects for galleries and theatre spaces and has collaborated with and composed for some of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, artists and organisations.

Decades (2001-2021), Panoptique Electrical’s eighth full-length album, spans 20 years of compositions over 70 minutes and 31 tracks. Starting in 2001, with pieces made from lo-fi synth drones, sampled loops and broken pianos, taking us through to more recent works featuring layered atmospheric strings, processed piano, field recordings, cinematic cello performed by frequent collaborator Zoë Barry and cut-up vocal pieces performed by Caroline Daish, Decades (2001-2021) perfectly blends melancholic ambient music, modern classical composition, experimental electronics and evocative soundscapes.
Exquisitely mastered by Room40’s Lawrence English, Decades (2001-2021) is an epic, but personal, record that takes us into the emotional landscape of Sweeney’s compositional world.

This is a limited edition of 200 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies. It is packaged in a lovely hand-stamped 127mm x 127mm 250 gsm smoky grey recycled cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and three insert sheets containing tracklist and information, two printed on a 170 gsm dusty pink cardboard and one on a 120 gsm cream recycled cardboard. It also comes bundled with a download code coupon and a Sound In Silence card.

Last year I had a chance to be part of the Goethe Institute music scholarship. (Thank you Agnieszka Marecka, Leonhard Heydecker) I went to Berlin and under the mentorship of Niklas Paschburg , I write this one. It’s been an amazing experience for me and I am so thankful it happened! hope to come back soon to this beautiful city!

Echoes and Signals is a musical project by Russian songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and record producer Fedor Kivokurtsev. The project's title refers to the 'unity of opposites' concept, which is the central category of many philosophical discourses.

EaS begins its story in 2012 as an instrumental project drawing inspiration from progressive rock and post/math rock genres. After releasing 2 conceptual EPs "Comma" and "Ouroboros" (feat. Vladimir Pozdyshev - drums; Alexey Zaytsev - bass) the first long play album called "V" (reference to the five acceptance stages) has been released in 2014(feat. Yaroslav Egorov - drums; Alexey Zaytsev - bass). The album featured the first appearance of vocals and signified the migration from pure instrumental territories. Later the band released a couple of singles with guest vocalists.

The second LP "Monodrama" was released in 2017(feat. Yaroslav Egorov - drums; Alexey Zaytsev - bass). Album title and concept were referring to psychotherapy method. Musically "Monodrama" was featuring instrumental progressive rock combined with guest vocals by Mariana Semkina in the song Lead Astray.

During live tours and performances EaS shared a stage with Pain of Salvation, Long Distance Calling, Sólstafir.

The third long play album "Mercurial"(feat. Leo Margarit - drums; Alexey Zaytsev - bass) was released in 2021 and was signifying the new era for EaS . The album's concept is using the alchemical process as a metaphor for a psychological investigation. The record is featuring vocals in every song and was created in close collaboration with musical and film producer Alexander Perfilyev.
