Echoes of Dreams (by echosonica)

A musical piece for a concept of Unclearpicture. In this composition, the atmosphere offers an impression of escape by the underlying rhythm of the percussions which seems to give a kind of tempo to the quest. It is a step as if vertigo surprised the impossible immobility of the one who seeks to leave or perhaps find himself. Moreover, the rhythms are entangled where simply some chords seem to punctuate the composition. A kind of slow and heavy movement. 

Un morceau musical pour un concept d'Unclearpicture. Dans cette composition, l'ambiance offre une impression de fuite de par le rythme sous-jacent des percussions qui semble donner une sorte de tempo à la quête. C'est un pas comme si le vertige surprenait l'immobilité impossible de celui ou celle qui cherche à partir ou se retrouver peut-être. D'ailleurs les rythmes s'enchevêtrent là où simplement quelques accords semblent ponctuer la composition. Une sorte de mouvement lent et pesant.

I wrote this song about a year ago and was inspired to write the music after my uncle passed away who was a big part of the 1960s underground and psychedelic music scene in london ,the hippies of that time would frequent a place called the ufo club where they would drop acid and watch such acts as the early syd barrett era pink floyd and many other upcoming music stars of that time.
This song is a bit introspective as well as all things must pass like the music it was an end of an era [jim 2023]

Hello everyone,  

One of my first songs here on SC was an instrumental lullaby. From the very beginning, I had the idea that it could be sung. It was only thanks to Haru that this became a reality. Haru Spring asked me to write lyrics in Japanese and to let her sing them in her language. I thought it was a fantastic idea. For me, the voice and language are equally instruments, and I love going on musical journeys of discovery. That’s why I rearranged the piece.  

I’m thrilled with how Haru wrote and performed the lyrics, and I feel deeply honored to have been able to work with her. Thank you so much, Haru!  

How might the song sound in other languages with different lyrics? I find the idea fascinating and invite you to arrange the song in your native language. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out to me.

  Well folks, it's that time of year again. It's time for the Eclectic Collective to take stock of the fruits of the year previous, and reflect on what making music together means to all of us. We hope you all take a chunk of time and indulge in our gift to you. We wanted to address every one of our SoundCloud friends with our voices as an intimate way to connect with each of you.
  This has become a tradition within the EC now that we've made it to our second (and a half) year of making music together. For the second time, JJ asked our friend and sometimes collaborator Jeff (Stonerjazz) to ask some interview questions of us. Then, we all came up with the answers and sent them to JJ to assemble the project.
  This mighty music machine we've created, that manages to release a new song every Friday, wouldn't mean anything if no one was listening to us. Which is why we want to extend our very sincere thanks to you for tuning in and supporting our efforts. If one other person gets joy from our music, that's such a huge accomplishment. However, it really feels like a bunch of people whom we really respect are digging what we're doing, which feels truly humbling and fulfilling. 
  With that, we hope you enjoy hearing us voice our thoughts over the highlights of our musical year as much as we enjoyed a year rich in music and comradery. Happy New Year!

This piece for erhu and pipa is inspired by the majestic Huangshan Mountains (aka Yellow Mountains).

Huangshan (Chinese: 黄山), literally meaning the Yellow Mountain(s), is a mountain range in southern Anhui Province in eastern China. It was originally called “Yishan”, and it was renamed because of a legend that Emperor Xuanyuan once made alchemy here. Vegetation on the range is thickest below 1,100 meters (3,600 ft), with trees growing up to the treeline at 1,800 meters (5,900 ft).
The area is well known for its scenery, sunsets, peculiarly-shaped granite peaks, Huangshan pine trees, hot springs, winter snow and views of the clouds from above. Huangshan is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese paintings and literature, as well as modern photography. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China's major tourist destinations.
