Elli, a Berlin-based DJ and co-founder of the collective Vaginastan, embodies the spirit of underground parties through creativity and community. She began her DJing journey during the pandemic in 2020, using her Technics turntable to explore music from home before connecting with audiences in clubs. 

Inspired by a desire for inclusivity, Vaginastan focuses on diverse line-ups and a positive atmosphere, challenging traditional club hierarchies. Elli has performed at notable venues and festivals, blending genres like House, Breakbeat, and Minimal. Her connection to music is profound, viewing it as a form of freedom and vital community communication.

The Mercurian Crater Festival rarely opens its doors. While primarily designed for wholesale traders from across the galaxies, guests from all walks of life are welcome to join the experience. Installations, auctions, food courts, and an endless array of goods for every taste make this event a spectacle of creativity. One pavilion, in particular, is drawing a growing crowd. And for good reason — this is the place to let loose. The immersive sound is intoxicatingly good, thanks to a true master in the lineup.

Somewhere in the crowd, a high-ranking official from an Aerospace Corporation flashes by, a local dealer darts past, and a scholar observes the scene alongside a talking cat. In this eclectic mix, the right connections often form in the most unexpected ways — even rival factions sometimes find common ground. Despite its scale, the festival has never received official status, a testament to its rather… unconventional organizers, who prefer to stay out of the spotlight. But then again, no one really needs an announcement to know what goes on under the banner of such a grand event. Welcome to the chaos!

Fine Selection is one of the highlights of Budapest's diverse electronic music scene with a very welcoming atmosphere. For this years spring´s edition of the Lab Experience podcast series Audio Werner (Hartchef, Perlon) took a deep dive into his record shelves and created a special seasonal blend of Vinyl only. This is definitely not a dedicated club mix rather than an audible illustration of springtime slowly taking over from cold and dark winter. Starting with atmospheric ambient sounds, warm rhodes & loose soundscapes the journey continues to more rhythmical environments as springtime progresses. If you expect the usual Audio Werner you know from his DJ sets or productions get ready for a completely new experience – it´s all broken beats and you won´t find any 4 to the floor bassdrum here at all. Here's a recording of a Liveset we did recently. We went to remote place for a few days to work on some music and this came out of it.

From poking stove elements with pencils, to recording the ambience of a teapot, and playing balcony railings, mnk is an album which restlessly re-imagines everyday sounds. FenGi is the moniker of the Turkish sound artist Altuğ Kaptan, and mnk represents his extended examination of the vibratory and the resonant. It is an album which blurs the boundary between object and instrument, at one point Altuğ performs by simply opening and closing doors, at another he reworks recordings of the violin. Altuğ describes himself as someone who ceaselessly records sounds, seeking spontaneous moments amid the everyday. In his debut solo album mnk we discover an artist both courageous and frenetic, who sitting amid the boiling stove pots, and the sliding doors of his home finds music.

Welcome to the new Pluie/Noir podcast series. 8 years after our debut we decided to press the reboot button and return to our roots. With a new format and back to a regular monthly schedule, Pluie/Noir Interscapes will feature audio collages, mixes, live interviews and live recordings from P/N artists, friends, and other collectives we admire.

Because less is more, instead of the usual triptych format, this series will feature one single A3-A1 visual interpretation of the music by a graphic artist. The artwork will be available to purchase in poster format on our rebooted Bandcamp page very soon, with cassettes or CD-r of the mixes as a bonus.

For Interscapes 04 we welcome patient better drivers aka @matteomanzini, the very talented London-based Italian artist behind @wantrecords, with a visual interpretation by a familiar artist to the series, the French artist @julban

Bio:
With the focus on deep electronic music two sound addicted brothers established the project Echoton in 2007. Initially playing deepest house around Berlin in the early 3rd millennium, the fascination for music production evoked and led to a deeper cosmos of electronic music. The passion of collecting vinyl turned into a sweet sickness in collecting hardware and software instruments. 

Heading towards a more elaborate-sounding techno/house direction, Echoton today is mainly known for their organic and detailed vibe somewhere in between crunchy minimal, deep techno and experimental electroacoustic music. Their search for the balance between established methods and pleasant unexpected suprises keeps them rolling. 

In addition to their studio and label work they definitely love to perform, either as a DJ team or live act. This is an exchange of two brothers who understand each other implicitly and complement one another blindly.
